Loses PDF files regularly
I have been at gigs and stepped on my pedal to go to the next song and received a message saying song not found.
Each time that song had completely disappeared from the Songbook app. I had to add it again.
I may need to switch to another app for gigs.
If this issue were fixed, I would give 5 stars.Show lessJAD9
Delete song message appeared out of the blue.
Delete song message appeared and requested 173 songs needed to be deleted.
There were 500 songs loaded onto application. Forced the deletion of all songs.
Not a good quality of an app that a band are limited to but 500 songs are a bit accessible for any person to consider to play.The Retrokings
Over 10 years with this app
I’ve been using this app for over 10 years, and I’m here to stay. It’s my favorite chord chart app. I tried a couple of others but the simplicity of this, along with some nice functionality is what keeps me using it. One turnoff from some of the other apps is that they are subscription based. I bought this outright, and all features are available to use. Not locked behind a paywall.
I use this with Dropbox, where I store PDF and text file charts. Songbook syncs to Dropbox and loads all the songs. Once loaded, it doesn’t need a connection.
The app lets you search for chords on the internet, and import them in, then save it in your song list. I play in a wedding band and have to learn songs constantly. This is a nice feature, because I’m usually importing in songs, then transposing them in the app, then revising them in the app.
I incorporate MIDI Program Changes in my chord charts, which Songbook supports. This has been huge for me. I send MIDI messages from MainStage to change charts while performing. The one thing I wish I would be able to do is use the PDF charts with MIDI. It only seems to work for the .txt files. Not a huge deal because most of my charts are in .txt format.
Support for this app seems good as well, as I had to reach out with a question once, and someone got back to me with a helpful answer.Show lessWardMachine

Emails returned with solutions within 24 hours. Apps works flawlesly. I dropped other app that I hab been using for 10 years. Very happy with app. Many une pected features.2michel

I’ve been using songbook for years! Bring a musician doing solo gigs, I need a tool that I can have while performing that is easy and flexible and songbook is just that. You can edit songs, modify chords, add comments, etc. songbook works great for a performing musician…I highly recommend it!Pkeaggy

Useful for Musicians IPad version
I play in multiple bands mostly covers.
We share set lists and songs making our own arrangements and I write all my originals and others that I record on. I fix all songs that are wrong on line and add times and BPMs. We share playlists and arrangements.
My only suggestion is when you share a pdf, for printing, I wish there was a way to add all the details besides the keys and titles(times, bpm, notes), then it would be 5 stars.
