Not so great
I downloaded this game thinking it would bring back a few memories of playing it at primary school but it was not what I expected it was appalling to even attempt to play and the instructions are useless not worth the bandwidthI scoped

Extremely fun
Extremely fun game, but I have 1 suggestion. How about a random map option for multiplayer? Right now, if you don't use the first map, it takes twenty minutes to find a game. If you made random the first choice, we would actually be able to play multiplayer on different maps without waiting 20 minutes.Show lessTrazzdi
Everything that's great about iOS games
I realise that turn based strategy is not everyone's cup of tea, in fact it's not normally mine but the look and feel of this game has sucked me in. The mechanics of the virtual pencil flicking are frustrating but as the friend who recommended it to me points out, so was the original method of playing!

This is great fun. Just like I used to play at school. Those giving one star for the controls are missing the point. Controls are easy, but aiming is hard, that's what makes it great. Ideal mix of light strategy and skill. Map creator is awesome. Keep it up guys.
Just make sure you go through the tutorial and early campaigns, which don't take long, before going online. If you are struggling, get a pencil and paper and see for yourself how this works. Then the controls become intuitive.Show lessGoonerman158
Well made game with attention to detail
This is a great game to have some fun, game play is a mixture of strategy and dexterity. Going through the tutorial is a good idea to understand how the controls work. Changing the available options for number of moves (given, accumulated, and per piece) allows for very action oriented games or very tactically complex games. One of the best casual turn-based strategy games I've seen. Can't wait for the expansions!Show lesslambdadao
Async Online Play Requires iOS 5
I bought this game specifically for its async online play... I thought it would be quick fun for me and my friends. Imagine my irritation to discover that async *requires* iOS 5. My device cannot run iOS 5. This is not mentioned anywhere in the iTunes store page.
The developers are either accidentally misleading or willfully misleading. Which do you think it is? In either case, they got my money.

Great game. Controls take a bit to get used to but it is worth it. Not sure about the person saying it is only 2 player!?! There is a lengthy single player campaign. Only problem has been that it is difficult to play online. Favorite game at the moment.Temple Runner 3579
Fantastic little game!
The utter simplicity of the mechanics yet depth of tactics this game offers is brilliant. And the map builder is tasty icing on the cake that should lend significant longevity to the game. I absolutely love it. For the next major version it'd be great to have a few more units like perhaps ships and helicopters. Also the ability to resize sprites in the map editor would awesome.
