This app is just bad

It works, but so many things are wrong.
Example: hours of offices and labs are never up to date. You show up and it’s closed or people tell you that labs are closed and say you should call first. What’s the point of an app if I have to call?
Then you book an appointment and after it’s booked there is no way to see the upcoming appointment and address within the app.
Not even talking about privacy aspects: you think you are talking privately to your doctor and then random people from the “medical staff” jump in the conversation and start replying…. How many people actually have access to my conversation where i send very personal details??

A Great Place to Be

Professional, knowledgeable staff, specialty care options, multiple locations in major metropolitan areas, extended hours in some locations, last minute appointments, video and in- office appointments, and even Saturday appointments available! This is just the short list of the things that make One Medical such a great medical practice.

One Medical is the way medicine should be

This is such a well thought and put together app. I’ve never had an issue. My provider and other members of my care team are so easy to reach and are quick to respond. The iOS version of the app makes it very easy for me to send documents and get those documents back over to other providers or my insurance. I love that I can contact someone if I am concerned about anything via videoconference and every time that I’ve done that, the app works flawlessly I have not had any troubles and it truly helps keep me healthy by reducing my stress and anxiety… How many apps can say that?

Instant help when you feel the worst!

It seems to always be the case that after you get dressed, drive to the drs office and finally get to their room, your symptoms are no longer as annoying and present as they were at home. Making you seem a little dramatic and whiny.
But with the Telehealth option you can get connected with a Dr right when you’re having that awful coughing episode so they can truly hear what you’re experiencing and give you the best recommendation. This has saved me so many trips driving to a Drs office and really elevated the attention and acute diagnoses to my illnesses when I have them.

For the love of god fix family logins

This has been issue I’ve raised for a few years. And was told it would be changing. With our first child we where told that I would need to use a different email address, and log in and out of the app to go between their information and mine. Two separate accounts.

Then with the second child three years later, it continues to be unresolved and we have to use a THIRD email address, logging in and out. Add my partners membership and this one App has us logging in and out with FOUR different email addresses in order to access a significant aspect of what we are paying One Medical to be a part of: convenience. Making and changing appointments, video visits , lab results, messaging care providers etc.

Permissions and multiple accounts under one login has been solved. It is wild to me as someone who works in Tech that this is still the experience for One Medical. If My Chart and our local hospital systems can figure this out, why is One Medical not making similar changes. HIPPA already addressed child/parent privacy concerns so that cannot be the issue. Please please please fix this. I want to switch profiles within the App without having to log in and out. And remember which email address I used for which person.

Growing too fast

I used to love One Medical but they are growing too fast and can’t support their demand in my area. One of the perks used to be same or next day in person appointments and that is never a possibility now. I also feel that the doctors are a bit overworked. They used to have plenty of time to listen and now I am rushed out by a time limit. So sad, this was such a refreshing change to the industry but they aren’t scaling properly and reverting back to the same problems a regular practice would have.

Meh

When I signed up for one medical, there were copious Covid testing sites and next day appointments which was easy and so helpful. Since I paid for membership, many NYC locations have closed or stopped Covid testing altogether.
Such a disappointment and I can barely use them for this service anymore. You can never get appointments less than a few days in advance.
They were my go-to.
The facilities and staff are all nice, however I saw a NP for the same issue 3x. It didn’t improve after the multiple assessments and treatments. When I went to another doc, in seconds they provided the correct diagnosis and it was cured within a week. I was really disappointed that it went over the NP’s head three times as I liked her and wanted to trust her.
So now I can’t go regularly for Covid testing due to their company changes, and I don’t feel confident seeing them for General services given my obvious misdiagnosis.
So my membership is moot and I won’t be renewing.

Kids & Family Management need to be accessible in one account

I really need to be able to manage all the bills and appointments for my family from one account. You just rolled out onemedical kids in my area, I added/registered them but there is no way to add them to my app, so that I can make appointments and message their providers in one place. The confirmation email suggested my 8yr old download the app so she can make her own appointments. This is unrealistic and entirely shortsighted, minor children do not handle any aspects of their healthcare experience. Having to log into four separate accounts to pay bills with my HSA card is exhausting.

The way dr care should be

Welcome to the 21st century medical care! I’ve been using it since they first arrived on the NY scene and have been making my life easier now for over 10 years.

One request: when I schedule a visit/appt/test, please add a function to add the date/time to Google calendar. I don’t use Apple calendar and have once forgot to input manually into my Gcal, and have almost forgot to show up for my appt.

App is Lacking

OneMedical is great as a service. The app, however, is years behind that of other providers. Why is health data from my Apple Watch not yet integrated? Why is it not possible to connect to other apps, such as scales, and fitness apps? My doctor and I always talk about tracking heart rate, weight, activity levels, blood pressure. Why are all these manually input when there are APIs available that can automatically add this data to your OneMedical chart? I’ve been with OneMedical for two years now, and nothing has changed in the app. What are the developers working on? It’s very disappointing to see for a subscription service.
