  • The One I Keep Coming Back To...

Stable, often updated, plays VERY nice with other apps... One of my first iOS synths, and the one I keep coming back to. No frills interface, kind of old school, but works for me!
Great work - thanks to the developers for keeping this wonderful synth always up to date!
  • A Veteran App That Keeps With The Times

This was one of the first apps I got after purchasing my iPad. It as been one of my favorite apps. It has a lot of presets, plus a simple way to make new sounds as its pages follow the signal path.

I had a great time using NLog as an effects app with Audiobus on a drum app and record to another app. It just works!

So, this app has been here almost forever, but in my opinion it should be one of your top 10 iOS synth purchases.
  • Owned it for over two years...

...and it stays in the go to group. Good stuff. I love adding additional effects to the sounds I come up with, but many times I do not even need to.
  • Well worth the money

Incredibly full featured synth with lots of parameters, effects, features. Got Audiobus support, full recording ability and more. Awesome sounds.
  • So much flexibility, and great sound!

My first iOS synth, and still one of my favorites (and I think I have them all). Great flexibility with the LFOs, plenty of oscillators. Many great presets and the ability to design a wide range of sounds.
  • My other favorite synth!!!

Amimoog and NLog are the two best synths out there for iOS. Hands down.
  • Pure awesome, just needs...

I've had Nlog for a while now and have had a difficult time writing a review. Nlog is one of the greatest iOS synths without a doubt. The synthesis engine is wonderful, and Nlog is feature packed. I've never had a single issue with it. In the rare instance that a bug is introduced, it is fixed quickly. In fact when I have a problem with another music app, getting its audio to point B, Nlog is the first place that I go to see if it has some feature to help me work around it. It plays so well with everything. And as new music app "standards" emerge for iOS, Nlog is at the front of the line to get them implemented (Audiocopy, Audiobus, virtual midi, etc.)

Despite all of this greatness, I rarely launch it for use as a sound synthesizer, and I think it boils down to the UI. I sort of feel like I'm putting on my engineering hat rather than my musician hat when I use it, and the engineering hat is more useful when I'm in the mix/master phase of work than in the song writing phase. So if there is an area to give Nlog some love, this is it, at least for me! I think more people would purchase it.

If you haven't purchased it you probably should. If you're serious about producing music on iPad, Nlog will probably bail you out of a jam at some point. And it does sound great!
  • Recording won't stop!!!

Why does it leave a task bar at the top of my iPad screen that says it's recording every time I open the program. I can't get rid of this unless I turn the iPad completely off. Very aggravating!!!
  • Crash uuuugghhhh!

This was one of my favorite go to for inspiration ARP's. Since the previous update, whenever a note is touched or played on the keyboard it crashes. Why?

Very frustrating and wrong. Please fix it!
  • Uninspiring presets

Presets are poorly named and uninspiring. Could be better. It's been ages and the interface hasn't gotten any love from the developers.
