  • Awesome

I have nothing bad to say.....awesome on every level.
  • Wow

I use this app all the time. The sounds are amazing and they can be tweaked to any sound you can need or want! I personally own a moog synthesizer and honestly the sounds in this app rival it.
  • Power, refinement

NLog was one of the first synth apps for iOS, and is still one of the best. The programmer has a deep understanding of sound and sound algorithms, and he has continued to refine his apps with more features and more efficiency. For example, there are lots of music apps that can upload recordings TO SoundCloud, but how many are there that can download a recording FROM SoundCloud and either play it in the background or copy it to the clipboard? You can complain about the way patches are organized (by author instead of type), but not about the actual sound. Another feature that serious musicians will appreciate: NLog knows that it's not the only music app on your iPod or iPad, so it works smoothly with other instruments and controllers (such as Geo, Cantor, SoundPrism, ThumbJam, Little MIDI Machine, or Genome MIDI Sequencer).

The new MIDI Learn feature is marvelous. In five minutes, I mapped nine knobs and nine sliders on a Korg nanoKontrol that I purchased on eBay for about US$30 and plugged into a Camera Connection Kit (CCK). Makes it very easy to experiment with fine adjustments to filter cutoff, resonance, LFO frequency, envelope, glide -- whatever you want to play with.
  • Outstanding

I own maybe 12 softsynths, including the Moog Filtatron and Korg iMS-20, and while those are fine, NLogSynth beats them all by a wide margin. Great sound, great settings, great presets, great app!
  • Add multi-timbral and is a 5

Sounds amazing, but not much use for production without multi combos.. It should be able to save multi-timbral setups as multis so you can recall for your sequences... Be on the edge and add this before everybody else.... I think sampletank is the only one with this right now
  • Powerful but slow to use

First of all, this synth sounds awesome and has more than enough power for anything you could want. There's nothing not to like on paper. However, the way it's laid out with everything on multiple pages kind of wears on me. It's just not all that fun to use even though it sounds great and has tons of useful options. I don't regret buying it, I'll definitely use it, but I find myself gravitating to sunrizer and getting lost in it and inspired by it, where this synth just feels like a tool.
  • Take it from a pro...

I've been playing synthesizers for nearly 40 years and own most of the ios synths. Hands down, this is the best all-around synthesizer in the iPad universe. I can't wait to see the new collaboration between TempoRubato and Waldorf!
  • MUST own iPad synth.

If you own an iPad, you MUST buy this synth, it is foolish not to. Worth every penny. The developer knows what he is doing, and is VERY active in the iOS community. The synth is so customizable, and easily so. It is easy to dial up any tone you want from this synth, with even the most basic synthesizer knowledge. Pair this up with your favorite Midi keyboard controller, and things just get better and better. Also, the ability to midi control other apps is fantastic. Thanks for all the hard work!
  • The iOS audio engineering app that will bring it all together!!!

Besides nlog synth being the most powerful synth app I've found (I still love my korg ims20 app too) it has some very key features to the iOS audiophile, first being it supports audio copy/paste (please don't bother buying an app unless it does at least audio copy/paste if you want to engineer in the palm of your hand that's what you need, not more wires and referring back to the luggable) second it can retrieve .wav files from your email so you can make use of any apps you may have that only support email export (dm-1 dum machine just got smarter now that you have nlog synth :) and then use nlog synths audio copy/paste to export into your DAW that should support audio copy/paste. I love my m audio keystation mini 32 and my camera connector kit as well.

    Hope this helps
  • A powerful and flexible synth!

I highly recommend this app for making music. The sound quality is superb and the interface is very user friendly. This app works quite well on its own and gets even better when you add other apps such as drum machines into the mix. Let the cork sniffing synth snobs get tangled up in their cords; this is music creation realized in a 21st century way. Keep up the great work!
