Bad update: map search now unusable

Ghastly

The new app is absolutely ghastly. The property pictures are squished slithers, takes ages to load and the map search feature doesn’t work at all now. Usually we expect improvements, however this app looks like it has been put together by an intern after a big night out and has left his glasses at home. Sure fix the bugs, by all means, make some changes with added features, but I see no point in driving people to just use The alternatives. Massive fail!

Terrible Update

Was this not tested?
Doesn’t work in landscape mode.
Impossible to switch search area without starting from scratch.
Form without any functionality.
House pictures not sizing correctly.
Need to rollback the update urgently.

Absolutely horrible redesign

An update that has wrecked the app with unnecessary overdesign and changes that make functionality unintuitive and clunky. All these “logging in” and “loading” screens waste users’ time, the pics are now dim and strangely arranged, ads are too intrusive, and the key purchasing factor - property price - now seems to be almost an afterthought. The typeface creates a great waste of space. The TradeMe Property app leaves you for dead.

The app needs to serious developing

This app is not uploading property details and hangs for ages. So in essence all it allows you to search for properties but not look at them in any detail. Defeats the whole object of the app. Come on developers fix this key piece of functionality otherwise your app is not fit for purpose.

Needs an update: search filters aren’t the same as the website.

The best thing about realestate vs trademe is the ability to search within a larger group pf filters, for example choosing land size: eg 500sqm of land.

The app however doesn’t offer as many filters as the website, not by a long shot. Also it simply feels very old. The Trademe app is much stronger. A pity as I prefer realestate’s website.

Ok but...

Clunky interface that doesn't seem to have changed in sometime. Compared with the same type of apps in AU this looks very dated. As mentioned by others I also get frustrated with the search results repeating the listings continuously. Being able to click on a pin on the map to view the selection directly would be very useful and likewise in reverse, click on a listing and it shows the location of the home on the map rather than having to open the selection then clicking on view map to find out exactly where the home is located.

Search

Search functionality is frustrating. Reverts back to 'Current map view' and does not allow to search in a specific area.

Okay but a few bugs

Main issue for me is when you want to mirror to Apple TV the screen doesn't rotate on the TV along with the phone so if you want look at the pics full screen on the TV they are the wrong orientation, could you please fix this
