  • Good if you like your opening to have a 5 every hand.

Not realistic. Played 20 games, computer ha d generates at least a five every hand for it! There is no way this is random.

Let’s go every 3rd game computer has 20 plus hand. When you have a 5 the max ten cards you get is 1. Plus they do not put the statistics up for the computer, let’s see it’s average hand and average pegging.

Hi, our system doesn't generate cards or do anything that makes determinations on what cards to deal to any player (including the computer opponent in single player games). It always used true random shuffling and never alters the cards in any way whatsoever. We cover this in great detail in the game Help and FAQ, and we conduct regular audits as well to make certain it is performing as expected. We have published publicly the audit details and even offered to let anyone view the code itself as the ultimate way to prove that the game is fair and honest in every respect. To your edited suggestion that not showing computer stats is somehow proof of anything, we haven't traditionally shown computer stats simply because most people care far more about how they are doing than how well a computer is doing. The fact is that how good the computer is at any single stat is not proof of the fairness (or not) of the game, just as how often you win or lose isn't. Cribbage is a game of significant skill, and so to determine fairness you don't look at win rates or scoring, but you analyze the shuffled decks and hands dealt - exactly what we have done.

Excellent game. The game could be improved if the computer program was tweaked to make it tougher. The program continues to take the first card if it needs it or not . Then it quickly discards the first card . The program continues to take cards to make pairs when it should only take cards to make three of a kind . It also does not consistently play defense. It discards its single wild cards all the time . This just feeds the cards it’s opponent needs to the opponent. At the end of the game it does not often go down when it gets to ten points . If it always went down when it reaches 10 points or less it would win more often. There you go. Beat the game at a rate of about 80-%. Rsv

Hi, thanks for your review. Have you tried the highest difficulty level? Most players will find it very hard to win at anything over 60% at that level of difficulty, but your critique is still generally valid. We have intentionally not made some changes that could make it more difficult, primarily because of the already large number of complaints by those that feel it is already so hard that it must be cheating in some way. If you are looking for a greater challenge, try the online multiplayer system and particularly the new Competitive Matchmaking system there. Some of the very best cribbage players in the world are playing there.
  • Drops out frequently, terrible design

I don’t understand all the positive reviews for this one. The layout is terrible, you can barely see the pegs on the crib board. It takes two taps to play a card - once to select it, once to play it. And it plays in portrait mode when card games work so much better in landscape mode - you can fit more in to the field of view. Same for putting your cards into the crib - it’s three taps when it could be two.
I’ve been playing Wildcard’s Cribbage against a friend via the app for years now - has such a smoother and better user interface and game play. The only problem with it is it can be left behind by iOS updates such as the most recent one, so I came looking for others. Played a few games in this one and hated it. If we just had an app developer who understood good design and was up to speed with system updates, now that would be a good crib app....

Hi, good news, if you want to play with fewer "taps", there are several options in the game settings. Select the "Options / Settings" from the main game menu screen and you will find options for every type of card selection, or just discarding, etc. We also support landscape display on larger devices like the iPad (and on many others), and we may add it to the iPhone in the future. The core reason for portrait being the default is that playing cards are portrait sized and actually do fit better in that matching orientation of the phone while keeping the cards relatively larger. That was more true when phones were smaller when the game was first developed, but now we have what used to be called "phablets" as the new normal, so adding landscape mode is definitely something we can do for iPhone in the future. We are always open to any suggestions, so please don't hesitate in letting us know if you have other ideas at support@FullerSystems.com
  • D,

Good game but lots of errors in games automatic counting.

    Developer Response

Hi, if you are playing with manual counting on the easier levels, the game will sometimes under score its own points as a way to allow you to use the muggins feature (otherwise the feature would be pointless). If you are using automatic counting and see something that looks incorrect, please take a screenshot and send it to us at support@FullerSystems.com so we can investigate it further with you.
  • How card games apps should be

No frills, no BS, no micro transactions, no deliberately obnoxious monetization strategies, just quality matchmaking, authentic experience, and an intuitive UI. You get an ad after every match unless you pay a totally reasonable amount to remove them, and then you never pay again. This is the kind of development and business that built the mobile apps ecosystem, and it’s sadly becoming more and more rare. Doing the lord’s work with this one.

  • Hate the interface, but the play seem fair and random

    The interface I hate.

Its like playing a bad video poker in a casino. It is fast, too fast and the interface is in my view is hard to follow.

I have another cribbage game where the pace is like playing another player, the cards are animated as they are dealt, the board is 3D, it is a more realistic feeling of playing against a real player. You have a moment to catch up between deals. but the randomness of the deal is very suspect, there are just way too many ‘winning’ hands.

This game I find myself always looking around as to what just happen. I don’t like the screen layout or the pace of play. It has the programming done right I just hate the screen layout. Maybe if I play it more I might get use to the interface, but I am not sure. Plus the board is 2D and the pegs are a bad 3D, so I find it hard to track. So even though the dealing is more like a real deck, if find myself playing the other game because it plays at a more pleasant pace.

  • “Cribbage Pro”

I’ve been playing this game for a few weeks now and I’ve got to say it’s the best Cribbage game on here! I like the fact that you can check your scores change your settings down to colour of board & deck. I would highly recommend this app to friends & family!
  • Love crib?

If you love crib, this is exceptionally good, well laid out, good game play, no easy wins, great for filling in a few idle moments
  • Bad Algorithm, Predictable Outcomes

For starters the algorithm used is almost predictable to the letter or number in this case. I’d say you lose roughly 7/10 games that you lose the deal. If you have a win streak, you are guaranteed to have an immediate lose streak. For example, if you skunk a player two games in a row, you will almost immediately lose two games by skunk or very close to. The predictability and unrealistic card outcomes ruins the fun. I have not analyzed the exact outcomes but I guarantee if you track your wins/loses, deals, and cards dealt during a streak you will notice the irregularities. When on a losing streak you are continuously dealt impossible hands, 4477J5, opponents crib. It’s just unrealistic and definitely not random in anyway. If you have a bad streak I suggest immediately stop playing and the game usually resets. All in all if you don’t care about random or realistic deals you’ll probably enjoy this game. For me personally I’m looking for an alternative.

  • Not realistic cards

This is probably a fine game for new players that don’t know how unrealistic this game is. If you have played IRL for 10 or more years you know how crazy it is after a few games. I suspect that if you pay you will win a lot more too. I don’t know why it is considered more fun to have it cheat for you but that is the way of the world now. A gentleman’s game corrupted by unscrupulous profit taking.
