Please quit hitting me up to rate your app
The app interrupted my workflow to ask me to rate it, using a window that I can't close, and only one button which says "Continue". So I'm being FORCED to rate the app right now. So, one star. Doesn't matter if it buttered my toast and improved my marriage, it will always get one star for treating me like this. Look, I get it, you're an independent developer and it's hard way to make a living, but this was the wrong design choice.

I had my files open about 3 minutes after I found the app.
It came recommended, it was quick to download, quick to install, and the interface is so intuitive I didn’t even look at the instructions.
Worked on all the .DAT files my client sent me.
Even has a free trial — so I got to test it out before I paid.
All round good experience.

Does EXACTLY what it needs to do.
I need to open Outlook emails with Mac Mail. I can do this transparently with this app. I forget I have it sometimes. Works perfectly, but I am sometimes annoyed with the request to rate the app. This is NOT the developer’s fault, but a problem with the Apple App Store, so don’t downvote this app because of that.

Letter Opener Gets My Vote for being a great program. I have used it almost every day for the past 3 years and have not had any problems. I receive pdf & other files all day long from window users & have never had a problem opening the files. I highly recommend it!

Does the job
This app has worked like a charm for me. I don’t use it every day, but over the past couple of years it has been able to open up every .dat file that I needed it to.

For a long time I,ve been trying to open emails, sent to me from (EXEC msg), with no luck. I must have downloaded and paid for, at least 6 different products on the app store, as i’ve need theses emails opened urgently, for a court case, that my lawyers sent me. And heaven be hold, it did what it said it would, I downloaded the app, it’s free at first, but I just went along and paid for it, the moment it opened the first email, its just drag, drop, and it opens automaticlly. Seriously I gave up, trying to open theses emails, for over 2 years now, I’ve enen argued with my dam lawyer’s secretary, that I could never open, these important files, so I just gave up. I don’t usually give reviews for anything, but give my court case starts tomorrow, and I thought I’d give it one more shot, it seems the email gods have smiled upon me !!

What Microsoft should have inbuilt
Great little piece of software that works almost entirely in the background (save for the icon being in the doc). Just click on the file you want to view and it opens.

Works well for occasional user
I have a colleague who uses Microsoft to my Apple, and sometime could not open files he sent me. Using this I can do so with little fuss, even when I have forgotten how. I could just do without the irritation of having to write a review every time I use it.
