Pretty good but doesn't have every name. And it also makes you rate the app before you can use the genie, so I don't know how well that function worksControversy13
Pretty good place to start
I'm a good ways away from having a baby or trying to have one, but I love using this app to keep track of names that my fiancé and I like as well as discover new ones. I especially like being able to see the different meanings, variant spellings, and popularity from now to even the 1800s for some!
I think comparing this to some baby name sites I've visited, there are ways this app could grow in comprehensive usefulness - like soliciting & providing people's reviews of their own names, or having the option to search for number of syllables or "ends with", also some of the categories seem a bit pointless/not well maintained (I was excited to check out the Literary names, for example, but that ended up being comprised of like 5 variations on Jessica and nothing else).
For recreational/light use, this is pretty much all you need. However, I think if I was pregnant I would want something a bit more robust.Show lessJulezski711

This is one of the better baby names apps out there. It does have an American focus but there are names from all over the world. The best aspects include the search (and being able to filter names by origin or meaning) and having the top 100 names not just from last year, but the last 100 years! Good app with obnoxious ads.
Best UI and most names available. A previous version allowed sorting and searching using the Top 1000, but that functionality has been removed since the last time I used this app over 2 years ago.
It also now has the most obnoxious ads. Change a rating on a name. Popup Ad. Change another name. Pop up ad. Might stop using this app it's that bad, and I like the app.
I'd also like to be able to set better search parameters. Not in top 50, but in the top 1000 for example.Show lessFanaticalFan
