Constant Freeze
Clearly the people who made this app really don’t pay attention or care what people are saying because I’m reading reviews from 4 years ago and further and all the things I hate about this app are the same things everyone else has mentioned. I could deal with the ads if there wasn’t a horrible extra 30 second glitch at the end of each one. Not only that but the episodes themselves glitch and freeze CONSTANTLY!!! There’s nothing enjoyable about it. All I wanted to do was watch some of my favorite throwback shows without each episode taking the same amount of time as a full feature film.Show lessAndrina MT
Love hate relationship still going strong
So like I’ve been using this app on and off, I constantly download and delete it due to frustration. While I understand that sometimes ads are a thing, I don’t understand why I’m coming to the app to watch the show after it aired on tv to still watch ads, they are still highly too frequent and long running. I feel like sometimes I watch more ads then shows and they’re too political and repetitive, I’ve gone into each episode and it starts with 4 ads. Them to top it off it runs for like 5 min-8 into the actual show and then there’s like 4-6 more and then sometimes it glitches and then there’s only been like two different scenes and then a clip of the show itself and then more commercials. It’s almost past the line of not worth it and I may delete it not sure yet.Show lessMelos44
This App is an Absolute Dumpster Fire
Run, do not walk, away from this terrible garbage app. The app developers should be fired, and the people working for VH1 should be forced to sit and watch their own content through the app.
To watch one episode of a show that I pay for through my cable provider, I sat through, not even joking, 20 minutes of repeating commercials before I even reached the show’s halfway point. This app restarts constantly, plays the same low budget commercials over and over, freezes up, and sometimes just won’t work at all.
Wake up, VH1. Stop commenting on these posts and reviews, and DO SOMETHING. These reviews all include the same complaints, and go back for YEARS. It is absolutely clear that no one working here cares about their viewers’ experience.Show lessamandas894
this app ruins my life
I am unfortunately a slave to this app because all I want is to watch drag race. It’s worse than you can imagine. picture the worst streaming service in the world and then add advertisements because apparently what I pay isn’t enough to save me from five minutes of ads every ten minutes. You cant rewind or fast forward without the app peeing itself. if you’re lucky to watch something all the way through without having to pause it ever (because it doesn’t like when you pause either) the buffering will come for you because apparently 500mbps is too little internet to stream on this app.Show lessjennynkoz
Home Screen order makes no sense
The order of the items on the Home Screen on the Apple TV app makes no sense. At the very top there is always a giant ad for Paramount+, which I already subscribe to so it’s a giant waste of space.
Then there’s a strip of items for Pluto TV!? If I wanted Pluto TV I would open that app.
Then when I scroll down there’s a tiny thumbnail just for watching VH1 Live but I already saw the link for it at the top.
Why do I have to scroll so much without getting to any shows on VH1!?! There is also one strip that is just called “No Login Required”, but I’m already logged in!?
I only just recently noticed that when I scroll all the way to the very bottom, passed all this junk, I finally see a “Continue Watching” section for the shows I’ve watched recently. Why isn’t this somewhere towards the top of the app!? I kept going to search just to find shows I watched recently because the Home Screen didn’t look like it had them anymore.Show lessBart Szyszka
Needs some sorta changes
I downloaded this app to watch my shows since I don’t have cable and stuff like that to watch my shows on vh1. I was really disappointed in this app because my show, I can only watch one video then the rest are all locked. I’ve tried the subscription but I don’t know my tv provider nor the sign in. This app needs a lot of changes regarding to signing up. I think that this app shouldn’t make you provide a Tv provider or sign in. The app should let us watch then put adds in between each video so that us people without a tv provider can watch.Show lessKaylaV9189
STILL needs lots of work!
The glitches are TERRIBLE! The show keeps playing sound with no video and then you have to restart the entire app to make it work again. Then when you try and fast forward to when you were last watching, it makes you watch the ads all over again and then stalls out, I just give up at this point. HORRIBLE APP!!!
Let me preface this by saying I hardly ever write reviews but this app is TERRIBLE. Constant issues on both my appletv app and my phone app. Takes FOREVER TO LOAD, if it does at all. It does a RANDOM LOG OUT of my cable account. Doesn’t accurately (by any means) hold where you last left off on a show. Forget trying to go back 10 seconds to catch what you missed or forward to skip “previously on” because it will either FREEZE, go straight to a ton of COMMERCIALS or will SKIP so far ahead you don’t even know what’s happening. Commercials constantly more than any other streaming app. If one of my favorite shows wasn’t on VH1 I would never touch this app again. And judging from tons of reviews over the last several years complaining- it’s clear that they have no intention of fixing this app. I wish I could give it negative stars as it’s miserable trying to watch my favorite show. 😡Show lessSnowlyssa
Terrible
This app is such a headache every time I go to use it. I only use it to watch 1 tv show thankfully. But every time I have some kind of issue. Sometimes I can’t sign in. I contacted customer support and they said I have to disconnect from WiFi to sign in and then reconnect. It shouldn’t be like that. Just fix the app. Some times I go to play my show and I get an error several times before it finally works. And then yet other times, the show works right away but stops working in the middle of me watching it. Please do something to make this app more user friendly. I have a ton of other tv channel apps and this one is by far the worst!Show lessalli_rae
Ridden With Problems (Apple TV)
This app is ridden with several problems related to Airplay on Apple TV. We will attempt to Airplay with this app to our Apple TV and will experience audio lag and skipping. This app needs to be reworked. That or just stop supporting Airplay. In theory one should be able to Airplay an episode to the bigger screen, but this app does a poor job. This seems to be an ongoing issue that the app developers still need to address. To be fair USA Network has this issue for awhile and then figured out what was causing the lag and buffer.
