Tour Guide in My Pocket
This app made our trip! We used this app in both Tokyo (shinjuku and Shibuya districts) as well as in Kyoto. We loved it. The app offered curated walking tours of all of the districts as well as navigated us to them in the most efficient route possible. Once we got to each stop, there was an audio as well as written article explaining the significance of it which eliminated our need to take a tour and let us experience everything at our own pace. On top of the curated lists, the app also gave us a list of things nearby that we didn’t know about that ended up being some of our favorites. We were also able to create our own walks from the list and add our own destinations which the app would organize into an efficient walk. We really loved this app and are excited to use it in our upcoming trips to Nee Zealand and Australia.

I used this app across my recent trip to Europe and found it easy to use and great for walking tours and location information. I am now going to use it in my home town to visit all those places I have said I would go to but am yet to visit. Highly recommended !!!
Best app for vacation
I use this app every time I go on vacation to Europe. It helps me locate and learn about all the historic landmarks and guides me through city with the gps locator. I also customize each day by plotting my route from the hotel to all the sights, landmarks and restaurants for each day. You get to maximize your time in each city.

What a brilliant app. I have used it in many Cities all over the world. Really simple to use but excellent at help to navigate around Cities efficiently to see the suggested sites. It is informative at a good tourist level and there is more if you want it with articles etc. I highly recommend this app. Will use it again when we schedule our next trip!

Good App for Self Guided City Walks
We have used this app several times over the years but never subscribed and used the limited non subscriber part of the app. On a recent trip to Krakow we decided to subscribe and use the full version. It was easy to subscribe and the app walk directions and points of interest informative without being too much. If we wandered off track the app led you easily to get back on the walk. Overall impressed and worth the subscription and will be using the app on several planned city breaks in the near future.

GPSmyCity is Awesome!
I bought GPSmyCity for my recent trip to Norway because I wanted to have the maps, navigation and sight descriptions available offline. I chose it because there were self guided walking tours for so many cities that I want to visit in the future. I downloaded them to my phone and off we went. The sight descriptions were interesting and fun to share; they were especially helpful in learning more about the places we couldn’t go inside because they were closed or having private events. The app was easy to use and navigation was clear. I plan to use the ability to make custom maps/tours now that I’m back home to use when friends and family visit. I highly recommend GPSMyCity!

Great app that fills a tourism need
I’ve tried several apps to help me find places in cities and towns to visit, and this one is my favorite. I’ve gone on several curated walking trips so far and I’ve found the app to be intuitive and easy to use. In particular, I never would’ve found the hidden gem that is Toronto’s “Cabbagetown“ district without this app. I also like that once I open a trip within a city, I can find other sites of interest to visit even if they’re not on the specific tour I’ve chosen, and they’re helpfully graded by color as “must see “or other locations. The maps are clear and very helpful. I’ve paid for a premium membership and look forward to using it extensively.

Great App for City Walkabout
Recently visited a few Mediterranean Islands whilst on a cruise. Having been to some of them before, we decided to arrange our own site-seeing rather than cruise line excursions and found the GPSMyCity app looking for ideas. Having now downloaded and used the app, I have to say how impressed I was with both the information provided regarding individual items of interest and the location accuracy whilst using it. I can only recommend its use if anyone plans to do their own thing whilst visiting other cities or countries.

This app has a lot of great info, but don’t trust it actually work off line. I have paid for a years subscription for maps and articles and numerous times when I have tried to use the map function when I am offline it continually asks me to sign up for a 3 day trail. Therefore map function no longer works. Come back hotel log onto internet it works. Log off internet and try to use map function it works. Leave hotel and try again to use map function and it won’t work. Once again I am using google maps offline. Which only gives directions if driving and I am on foot. Yes I know data is cheap in Europe and once I get a SIM card I will see if this app works any better but the point it is suppose to work off line in airplane mode and it doesn’t consistently.
