The previous version had a real life appearance. It had the ability to program scenarios. The pacer "gauge" and having to choose shock before you can charge to defibrillate aren't realistic at all. I originally purchased the app to teach ACLS and PALS. Now I worry about how professional this will appear when I teach at facilities. A big disappointment.

Could be great but currently buggy
This app has great potential but is currently buggy. It is impossible to add BP values and am unable to set up scenarios. A set of instructions would be useful and this app needs updating stat
Great app for simulation of ALS scenarios
Great app for simulation of ALS scenarios, great for all the observations available! Only downfall is only being able to control remotely with Bluetooth keyboard, would be amazing if I could control it via my iPhone like some other apps do! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the 12 lead function!

This app is awesome and it keeps getting better. I am so excited to have the updated version. This app makes my job a lot easier. It is designed to make students feel they are actually taking part in a real live rescue. I tend to keep the sound turned on because I feel it enhances the scenarios. Overall, ECG Simulator is visually pleasing, featuring colored graphics with great features. Additionally, the layout of this app is simple enough to navigate, with button for each desired action. App makes teaching my ACLS & PALS classes a lot more fun and interactive. Student seem to enjoy the interaction on the ipad rather than the clunky old simulator. All of the function keys are working well on the new updated release. I also use the CPR button with my BLS and Heartsaver classes for students to practice with the beat.
I'm so happy to have found this app. As a fairly new company, this app has saved me several thousand dollars. I can't wait until the next update. I highly recommend this app to any AHA Instructors. Hands down the best app that I have purchased to date.

Great app
I must agree that this is an excellent app, and it continues to get better. For those of us that volunteer to teach volunteers, there is no way that we could afford to purchase a monitor to use for training. This app fills a huge training gap for agencies in low income areas with small to non-existent training budgets.
The developer is very responsive and quickly replies to any inquiries about the app, even on weekends.
Please keep up the great work and support. By doing so you not only help every Paramedic across the U.S., but you also help to insure that all of their patients in cardiac crisis receive great care. Thank you!

Great update!
I would have to say I was really excited when this update came out! I love the new design! I feel like the rhythms also run a lot smoother. I like how the EtCO2 waveforms are finally active. In the version prior, the waveforms just didn't move at all. The hide buttons come in handy as well. I teach ACLS EP and use this app in some of my stations. If you teach ACLS, PALS, NRP or ECG courses you will enjoy using this program in your classroom. I emailed the company asking if this application meets the American Heart Association guideline "Use of tablet devices" and it does. You just have to purchase their pads which can be purchased on their website. Every time I bring out my iPad to use at one of my stations the students are always amazed. I have had several students renewing ACLS with me from 2 years prior who have made the comment that the application helped them understand the codes much better than in their previous class when I used to use an old Monophaic defib! Overall, love the program and think it's worth much more than the 9 dollar cost.

Clunky and awkward
Could have been much better... SimMonitor App is much more user friendly and intuitive..
Good idea, many bugs
I like the concept, but Shuts down when "playing" a scenario, not user friendly, multiple bugs. Please fix!
Worked for a while but keeps crashing
Looked like a promising app for ACLS / PALS iPad addition, but it will not run preset programs or allow for running of custom designed programs.
Contacted developer over a month ago and reported the issue. I did get a quick reply, but this was a promise of a fix sometime in the future.
If you are thinking about getting this app, wait for the future.
Once this bug is repaired I will submit a second review.

Not what I hoped for
This needs an user guide. Tried to set up a teaching scenario and gave up in the end- and I teach this stuff.
