Very Useful and easy to understand
Used it to verify that the unisons in the upper register on my Baldwin SF-10 piano were off after a recent tuning. Also determined the stretch was suboptimal for my piano.
When I finally get a tuning with the stretch I find most pleasing, I will use it again to set one of the custom temperaments to the values I like so we will have it for next time!Show lessMs_Edie
Great app for my piano tuning business...
I've been tuning for 20 years now, for the past 10 or so years I've used Tune Lab 97. I've resisted upgrading to the latest version because every time I had 300 bucks I had something better to do with it. I tried the light version of this app and knew I wanted to spend a measly five bucks for this app that replaces most of the features that the TuneLab program did. It is a tremendous app that is suited for fine tuning wind, organs and especially pianos. A technician with some experience can tune an instrument in about an hour. That way you can schedule another tuning in a day and make a little more cash.
Now if you've never tuned your piano and think this will save you a visit from your piano tuner, think again. there's a lot more than just getting the strings in tune. Even with this app it will take you hours to get your piano sounding right, you'll be happier if you just pay your tech and sip a beverage while he works.

But if you are a piano tech wanting to put this on your iPad, be sure to get a good mic to go with it. The iPad has a problem with hearing the lowest and highest notes on the iPad...Show lessMaestro Mitch

An excellent tuner
I have never had reason to use the more complicated functions of this tuner, but it has excelled as a quick accurate tuner for guitar and bass. Maybe one day I will get around to tuning a piano, though!JanthoMarkem
Wonderful
I use this for organ tuning all the time. The resolution is wonderful and accuracy is dead on.
A few things I would recommend to developers:
One. The ability to reduce the input volume. Sometimes I have to back the tuner way far away from the pipes I am tuning in order for it to pick up.
Two. More presets for temperaments, such as Kellner or some of the more well-known unequal temperaments.
Three. The ability to enter in new temperaments by entering in the variation data instead of having to record the temperament in.
Four. The ability to tune mutation stops without having to set manually the note on the dial. This could be achieved as a setting whereby you would enter in the mutation and the tuner would automatically put you on the right note on the keyboard instead of tracking to the note that mutation is closest to.
All-around a great product and I will continue to recommend it to all my Organ colleagues.Show lessRedbullluvr
Nice tuner
I started with the lite version but needed to be able to save the temperament for pedal steel guitar so I upgraded to the paid version. This version only allows saving of one user temperament and pedal steel guitar needs at least 2. One for E9 and one for C6 tuning. The developer was very helpful and a good communicator. The tuner works very well. He said he would be releasing a pro version that would allow multiple user temperaments.Show lessGrandpa steel

This app is quite incredible. Perhaps not as fancy as some costing over $300 for the pc, but for the price I am blown away.It is easy to use, very accurate and at this price a complete bargain, have already recommended this app to several friends.PingellyPete
