Rendered completely useless in Portugal
I was once a Gold and then Pro member, but recently Zomato completely destroyed the app. They folded all the reservation and discount features into a separate Zomato Portugal app, which I cannot access unless I change my Apple App Store location to Portugal and every app I’ve ever downloaded on it.
At least I could still look up restaurant locations and reviews. Uh they’ve now removed all of those features too. This is a completely dead app for me now that can’t search and can’t find restaurants, let alone prevent me from reserving restaurants or receiving Pro discounts as a paying Zomato Pro member.
This app is now effectively useless and does nothing by try to forward me to Zomato Portugal app that I cannot download. Why am I even paying for Pro? They refuse to refund my membership fee too.

Pro plus and pro subscription is a scam
They don’t give most of the things promised. Coupons and extra discounts are usually the same for everyone.
Delivery time and delivery is same for everyone even though they promise priority or flat delivery to the paying customers. Their algorithm or software for delivery is very bad. I can order from a restaurant less than 1km from my house and the delivery goes out first to a location 8km+ from my location and then comes back to give me my food. And if I place an order first somewhere then the delivery makes all the deliveries on its way to me. Doesn’t make sense as the reason they give if you food doesn’t reach you is that someone else placed their order first, but if I place my order first they still send the delivery partner somewhere else. Dissatisfied with my pro plus subscription that I paid for and definitely thinking of switching to a different app.

I’ve been enjoying the home delivery option but I can’t figure out why the cap on COD orders is 600. It’s not a very useful amount (can’t even order 2 pizzas). I think it makes sense to increase the COD limit for ppl who have been using your app for a long time. You can ask restaurants to rate your users (whether they are good or bad paymasters) and blacklist the bad ones. Also, table bookings need to be reintroduced. After all, you’re still competing with dineout and eazydiner. Some promotion, maybe a tie-up with certain key restaurants will give you a competitive advantage. And it can be a different restaurant every month, just to give a sense of change for users.

Worst service and worst customer support!
I would like to bring to everyone’s notice about the horrible service by Zomato! I placed an order from Pizza hut through Zomato! Pizza was ready by the shop in 15 mins! But we received the food after 1 hour and 50 mins from the time of order.. during that time i have been calling zomato to find out why the food hasnt been delivered.. then i got to know that zomato cant manage its delivery! They changed delivery boys 5 times before finally it was picked up and delivered!! By the time food which was delivered as expected was not in an eatable condition!! It was completely cold and hard!
After this horrible experience i went back to Zomato and asked them for refund!! The response surprised me even further!! “Please treat this instance as an exception”. Why should i treat this as an exception? I paid money for food which i did not get as expected! I deserve to get my money back!! The Zomato support is so horrible it feels like I was talking to trained robots!! THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!
After this horrible experience i went back to Zomato and asked them for refund!! The response surprised me even further!! “Please treat this instance as an exception”. Why should i treat this as an exception? I paid money for food which i did not get as expected! I deserve to get my money back!! The Zomato support is so horrible it feels like I was talking to trained robots!! THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!

Crappy service Getting worse by the day
I’ve been using zomato for over two years now as my sole food delivery service company.
The service keeps getting worse by the day. This has gotten worse ever since the company went public.
The past three times when I have ordered a simple meal from McDonald’s the drivers have had to wait to leave with my order as they were assigned multiple pickups/delivery…
Needless to say my orders arrived cold and soggy. I called and was assured this wouldn’t happen again.
Lo and behold again today the same issue.
Numerous issues occur where Zomato blames the restaurant and I know this is not true, since I call the restaurants to check.
If there is a slight drizzle of rain, zomato cancels the order blaming the restaurant, when in actuality the driver doesn’t show up.
One time the delivery driver actually dropped my order of donuts and actually opened the donut box and rearranged them with his bare hands. Luckily my lobby guard saw him and got the incident on camera and informed me.
Where is the Quality control division and customer service of Zomato.
I guess I will take my business to swiggy or another carrier, since my review probably won’t make a bit of difference with the customer service here.

Better to go with gold membership
A very convenient app that allows to order delivery food within a few minutes - all you need is your mobile phone with credit card information. With gold membership subscription, you can also get a 1+1 deal. Their customer service is apt and responsive if you get stuck with some features of apps or if you would like to ask them how things work. If they could expand partner restaurants, more people would very likely join in.

A great App making life easy. Menu and Restaurant info at your fingertips
Great App. I love reviewing and also viewing menus of different places. Making life so much easy. Would recommend if u can start delivery here in New Zealand if possible just like you have in India.
Absolutely Shocking.
I have recently placed 3 orders recently… The first order was over an hour late and completely cold and soggy. I was promised this was a one off… I spoke to the support centre and they were absolute liars. I have the screenshots of the conversation but have not posted as yet as I was told this was an anomaly. The second Order arrived late, but was still ok to eat… so I placed a third order… this is now late as wel and I have been told the food is ready… by the restaurant. But not out for delivery yet. So I am assuming the food will be cold again. I do not recommend using Zomato for any delivery orders… I also believe the customer service agents require additional training instead of just saying the food is on its way even though it clearly isn’t when speaking directly to the restaurant.!

The lying program of zomato
This is the story: I had a friend of my daughter’s coming over and they wanted pizza so i ordered pizza for everyone and the total was 161 AED from the app zomato and we were waiting for more than an hour we had placed the order at 9:10 and it was 9:50 so i called to check up on the order they said that the driver has taken the food and is coming at 11:30 i received a call from the driver asking for the location and i asked why were they so late they said that they picked up the order 5 minutes ago and then i asked to cancel it they said that the money would be back in 2-7 “working days” it has been 10 days and i am still waiting at first the program was perfect but after 3-5 orders the program became very bad and laggy and the drivers are so rude.

UX not the best but good choice of food
Lots of good choice of restaurants available on the app so the business has been well thought through. App is generally functional and well designed. But can say that the UX is particularly good with this app. There’s no proper map feature to locate restaurants, track the delivery. Some features are very unintuitive and not easy to use for example adding/changing your address. The worst is that the web account doesn’t sync with the app so if you start your order on your laptop, you can’t complete it on your phone. But if they’re making money, customer inconvenience is a very low end priority I suppose. Especially in India where the customer is really not discerning with high standards.
