The most expensive charging - AVOID

This is the Rost charging app ever - it is always more expensive by 20-50% when compared to other apps. As a bonus they also charge you 20 euro for an rfid card, where others send you one for free (Hello Electroverse). Seriously it's stuff like this that gets EV users bad reputation.

Hi Amanda, the Pass allows us to offer you more than a charging experience but more features as well. Prices are those imposed by operators. We also have a "Boost" subscription if you want to save on your charging sessions and benefit from exclusive promotions! Our services put every effort into offering the fairest possible service

Do not go to France without this.

This saved us a lot of hassle in France.
Credit cards won’t work on the chargers here, mostly.
Or the ones in the Le Shuttle terminal in Kent, but this card will.
Got a lot of brownie points for having this.

Seriously, if you’re going to France, you do need one of these. Works where RFID cards work also.

Hello!! Thanks for the great comment. Happy to read we were useful in France

Doesn’t function

This app is extremely frustrating and poorly designed. The navigation is confusing, making it hard to figure out where things are or how to proceed. Instead of simplifying the experience, it feels like they've crammed in too many unnecessary features, overwhelming new users. It's far from user-friendly and left me lost and frustrated trying to use it. Definitely needs a complete redesign.

Absolute garbage! AVOID!!

Lots of charging stations shown, but information is often not accurate and the Chargemap card is highly unreliable. Also you only get one and could easily lose it. Why isn’t everything on the app so you can charge up and pay that way? Ps Charging an electric car on a long journey is a logistical nightmare, incredibly frustrating and a massive headache. I’m going back to petrol after my recent experience in France (petrol stations are very easy to find, all prices are clearly displayed, they work 99% of the time, you don’t have to register beforehand and in one minute you can add c300 miles of range. Compare that to being unable to find charging points, when you do find them they are invariably faulty, busy, you need to have registered, take an age to get started and even longer to add more than a few miles unless you pay way more than the equivalent price per mile for petrol. Great for buzzing around town, but a waste of time on long journeys) Update - some charging points now work with the app (apparently - haven’t tried it yet). Map is utter garbage - can pin stations, but no way to see them on the map. No favourites option. Absolute garbage!

Response from developer

There are many things in your feedback. First of all, we're sorry to hear about your experience. However, you should bear in mind that gasoline and electric vehicles operate in 2 very different ways. Chargemap does not own the charging stations and, as a result, the information we display comes from the operators with whom we have signed a roaming agreement. If the status and/or availability information was not up to date on Chargemap, it's because we unfortunately didn't get the information - we're sorry about that. However, we do have a contribution tab where users can provide us with information. In addition, you can go to the charging station and leave a comment, which will be dealt with as soon as possible. Finally, users also have the option of registering recharges on the application (which is not compulsory, by the way), which provides real-time information on the availability of recharging stations. I'm sure you'll agree that we're doing everything we can to ensure that our community can intervene and provide us with information about charging stations. The fact that not everything is on the app is simply due to the fact that charging cards are a separate category: for the moment, it's not possible to completely dematerialize a charging card. However, we have made it possible to charge via your cell phone on a number of networks. The Pass is linked to an account, but you are free to create several accounts if you wish to have several Chargemap Pass. If you lose it, simply report it as lost/stolen and you can order a new one for €7. Prices are clearly displayed on our Chargemap app: for each Chargemap Pass compatible station you have. our prices on the website and app. Last but not least, there's a button for pinning favorite charging stations. We remain open to discussion and improvement wherever possible.

Using Chargemap in France

Easy to use with filters to find suitable charge points during my holidays in France.

Hi Tonton Antoine ! Thanks you for the nice feedback :-) Chargemap team

Waste of Time

Could not get the app to plan a route, no matter what I did the plan a route button just stayed gray and would not let me plan any routes, no help section and very frustrating and not user friendly. Un registered and deleted the app.

Response from developer

Hello, a fix has been deployed for this temporary bug. Sorry for the inconvenience

not helpful

this app lists charging stations that aren't actually accessible. now I've paid a bunch of money for access to god knows what and I can't even use the charging stations I had wanted to. frustrating. there is no way to get support.

Response from developer

Hello lequis, our support team is available per email from monday to friday, and on the phone 24/7. Where did you try the Pass? I see your country is the USA. You have to know that we have compatibility over Europe as indicated in our website : https://chargemap.com/pass We remain at your disposal for further assistance

Does not work

This app is utterly useless. I put in 2 destinations and it always tells me that there are not enough charging stations to do a route. This happens no matter what I put in. I could be driving 40 miles with 250 mile range and it still gives me the same result. I need to go on a long trip and I just want to see if there are enough charging stations along the way. This app does nothing.

Response from developer

Hi there must be an explanation to it. Could you let us know the route you're planning with every details (EV, battery %, departure and arrival poins, filters)? Our support team is available at support@chargemap.com

Keeps crashing

Sometimes it doesn’t open, sometimes I get the message my authentication failed. Really disappointed as it’s clearly an essential app

Response from developer

Hello, thank you for reporting this. Could you please contact us by email (support@chargemap.com) and provide us with your Chargemap account details? We will then be able to share your error with the technical team. :)

Nice application

It’s really nice application. The only problem - UI of the Route screen is not suitable for small screens. I have IPhone 8 and on the Route screen half of the screen occupied by picture at the top and everything useful is hidden and I can’t really use that screen. No scrolling on that screen.

Response from developer

Hi Serg, thanks for your comment! We reported to our teams and will make sure the app is adapted yo all smartphone :)
