  • Outstanding

I have only just discovered this synth and it’s now my all time favourite. Easy to use, terrific sounds. I have bought MANY synthesiser apps over the years and they are good. Sunrizer beats them all
  • Keyboard size

    Hey

Thank you for fixing the scaling issue on iPad Pro 11”. There are empty spaces on either side now but they are fine.

Can you increase the size of keys for Large setting as the keys are still too narrow for human fingers? Please see GarageBand keyboard sizes which are most ideal.

Also, the keyboard should be locked from scrolling by default at launch. Keyboards are locked in all other apps by default and it is the expected behavior.

    Cheers!

  • Sounds great but UI needs work

I’d give it 5 stars, but it cuts off a bit of the top and bottom of my 11” iPad Pro (2020) screen. Should be something easy to fix.
  • User guide is pretty much useless.

There is no explanation on how to clear MIDI assignments. Furthermore, the user guide apparently refers to an older version that does not have a PREFS button anywhere, but this button is mentioned in the user guide.
It has some nice features, but it is really not worth the $9.99 it costs.
  • Just learning but so far it’s nothing short of amazing

Just started using this synth app today and I have to say that this absolutely blows away every other synth app for the IPad. I own 10 hardware synths and the sounds on this truly rival my Minilogue XD, Roland FA and Microfreak to name a few.
I’ll update this review with more of a user realization but right now I am just blown away by the sounds and deep, deep arpeggiator.

  • Great with program, changes

A lot of app don’t let you control patch changes with outboard midi. This is a very underrated app.
  • The Best

Superior sound quality that can emulate a variety of classic analog synths as well as morphing textures never before experienced by Earthlings' ears. Very expressive with loads of adjustment levers, sliders, knobs and switches available on the main screen plus a plethora of deeper editing screens that are quite easy to navigate with dedicated buttons located across the top of the main menu. Instant gratification via tons of free presets and the developer continues to update with amazing effects and options. It's quite easy to find a desired sound defined by category, manipulate to taste and save to a new folder. This just might replace a set list (if I can ever get all those confounded lyrics memorized).

Only a couple of nitpicks at this time: 1) The slide option for the onscreen keyboard being a tad clunky and jittery, but a mute point if one is using hardware controller keyboards as most would for serious studio work. Once a key is triggered on the screen, sometimes you must lift up and touch again with the intention to slide. Yet during semi-quick runs the keyboard often slides a bit, hindering accurate notes. Perhaps I just need more practice. Sure would be nice to have octave switch buttons. 2) No velocity available over MIDI? However the on-screen keyboard does simulate it with the loudest notes triggered when keys are touched closest to the player, softer as the keys are touched closer to the virtual pivot-point.

I have tried nearly every iOS synth and this one edges out several others that are narrowed down to my favorites folder mostly because of the immense variety of sounds from the mega lush morphing pads to intense over-the-top distorted leads, plus the speaker melting hugeness capable with this engine; not to mention the ease of further sound manipulation with the well placed and complete set of modulation interfaces. Many hardware synths are jealous of Sunrizer.

  • Limiting range

Why can I not play notes above Bb6?
  • A must have synth for your IOS collection!

This synth has rich textures and a host of very usuable sounds
At your fingertips. What are you waiting for?
  • The iPad version is unbelievable, iPhone version isn’t.

Of all the iOS synths I own, this is my very favorite synth, PERIOD! I can’t give it higher praise. The depth and complexity of the tones takes me to new levels of inspiration & creativity. It’s on the WOW FACTOR level to hear it.

Today I purchased the iPhone version, and it is NOT a duplicate of this version. What I do on the iPad version is take a patch that I like and start playing with every parameter, and am rarely unsatisfied with the changes. With the iPhone version I can’t get any patch modified or stock to sound 1/10 as good as the iPad version. I hope the developers can do their magic on the iPhone version to get it to be more like its big brother.
