Not only is this game a piece of art but the game is also a delight to play! The music is sooo calming and I really like how the difficulty in level/world progresses. Worth every penny!! I bought this game when it first came out and I am STILL playing it. I agree with other reviews in that they should update so that the gaming fun can continue.. BUT it takes a while to finish and you can always go back and try to do better in previous levels which is cool : ). First review ever soooo long story short... just GET THE GAME if still debating! Nice game, nice graphics
Nice just about sums it up, really. It's designed well and looks good. I could have done without the endless repetition of each music track though; if you get stuck on a level it grates after a while. The soundtracks are all fine, it would be nice if they simply played sequentially. Bit of a trick missed with characterisation, all the little eyeball does is giggle or growl occasionally, and it's the same sound effect each time; overall it's just not sonicly varied enough to merit the "must be played with headphones" hype. Fun and addictive little game!
A really enjoyable game, it starts off fairly simply and gets progressively harder. Even once you pass a level, it's tempting to go back and try for a better score. I could play this for hours, and probably will.beautiful_dissonance
Little Wonders
There are few games that transcend from the plane of an enjoyable entertainment, to the realm of an essential experience. Contre Jour somehow manages to become more than the sum of its parts, and enters into the plateau of beautiful little wonders that might seem insignificant from the outside, but from in here, they provide sanctuary for a very delicate and important part of our souls, or perhaps even remind some that it is still there, malnourished but alive.

A pleasure to play!
This app is great for the new iPad, the music is relaxing and the gameplay is inventive and easy to learn, yet the levels are more and more challenging. The visuals are great, I definitely recommend this one and I love playing it cause it relaxes me!!!Redwhitejag
Pretty nice...just get it...don't be cheap
I was skeptical at first because of it's spitting image of cut the rope, and a couple angry bird look alike levels (I have too many puzzle games), but the one thing they both didn't have was unique music and an original and somewhat innovative gameplay/game style like this does.
With the combination of moving your land mass to move contre to grappling him with stretchable or unstretchable grappling points to bouncing him off the walls and shooting him with a slingshot or that rocket, spore looking thing, it sure takes the puzzle out of both the previous games that I mentioned and put it into one with a twist of music and child-like darkness that reminded me much of the movie Coraline. Same endearing graphics and music and character(s), yet it hard the dark side of the surroundings and the Venus fly trap like plant that ate contre.
Pretty nice game and i like how you can partially interact with the background. For those of you who didn't know, although it's very easy to figure out, the little stretchable eyes in the background can be poked away into hiding with your touch and eventually they will venture back out and stare at contre until you harass them again. 😉 good game guysShow lessICreateParanoia
Lovely game
This is my first review, why? Because this is a stand out game, it gives you such a lovely feeling when you play it and the visuals, although basic, are beautifully stunning. The game is supported by a wonderful score that transports you to a magical world. Well done for making such a unique, lovely game :) PS I have numerous games on my iPad and iPhone including Gta, dead space, angry birds, street fighter, worms, doodle jump etc etc this is the only one that has stood out and truly impressed me.Show lesswelshlegend
