  • God knows exactly what I need to hear via Jesus Calling

Straight from the heart of Jesus every morning!
  • Sue

Seems since Sarah Young, the author, has passed on it has now become a money grab. I have deleted the app with disappointment and wish now I had kept my written copy rather than giving it away.
  • I can’t restore my purchase on my new iphone 11

I bought the original Jesus Calling app several years ago and have loved reading it every day. It has spoken to me personally in ways that I can’t explain. It’s like each day is written just for my needs in mind! I really miss being able to access it on my new iphone11. I have emailed Harper Collins regarding this several times and have tried all of their suggestions: restarting my phone, removing and reinstalling the app, restoring my purchase, updating the app, starting the app with the audio, etc., to no avail. I still only get the one-week trial version of the app and am very discouraged and disappointed! I miss being able to read Jesus Calling every day. It has been a huge blessing in my life and I have told many, many friends to buy the app themselves over the years. It is a gem. I wish someone could help me get my original purchase back onto my new phone.

This is my second review. I am disgusted! I have contacted Harper Collins several times over the past 4 months about not being able to access my original Jesus Calling purchase. I still cannot access Jesus Calling and am very angry now for being betrayed. The “restore purchase” button does not work.

  • Poor access

Hi I love this app.. until recently.. I can no long access my books despite updating the app. So disappointed. It only takes me to locked content that I need to pay a subscription for ☹️
  • So disappointing.

I love this book and have read it many times over. I purchased this app so that I could have it with me when I travel and have one less book to carry. The price tag was a bit steep for an app but I was excited to have it in audio as well for when I needed it.
    1) There is no audio unless you pay MORE money to premium, which you only find out after you purchase the app.
    2) Apparently you only get “some” of the book. On August 1st, I stopped being able to access the readings and going forward they are all locked for only premium subscribers. I would have thought at very least for the price of the app, I would be able to access the whole book.

  • Bad bugs

Even though you have purchased the app years ago, it refuses to restore any purchases and tries to force new app purchases and will not recognize previous purchases. Very very disappointing.
I am back to my paper book now- after all the apparent upgrades and fixes, I began to wonder if this is just another way to take good hearted people’s money. Seems scam like.

  • Subscription scam

I bought this app a few years ago. Today I used it and now it’s prompting me to pay a monthly fee. I already have paid for this so why do
I have to pay again. I am very disappointed especially this being a spiritual app. Common I paid you already $25 and now you want me to pay again and I do not have access to it. This happened on a bible app I bought too until they decided to upgrade and do a subscription. Scammers. Shame on you.

  • Very disappointed greedy people ruined it

I loved Jesus Calling, even though I had to purchase this app for $10 I thought it was worth it because it was so beautiful. Loved it for years until the developers got GREEDY and decided the only way to use the app now requires a monthly free. This is absolutely insane since this app used to be free, has the same 365 readings a year & is available on kindle & physical book (which I now have) the biggest thing I liked about the app was the reminder to read it. But that is NOT worth the monthly subscription price. Save your money & buy on kindle- or don’t even support these people anymore because they have clearly gone away from God. God would’ve never liked to see someone take people’s money for their own profit. There’s a difference between writing a beautiful book about the bible & making sales and completely taking advantage of people. The developers have fallen into sin & consumerism & it’s just sad. Save your time & money & just read the bible and use google if you need help understanding. Cannot emphasize enough how disappointed and disgusted I am.

  • Very Disappointed

Like others, I too bought this app years ago when it was free and even when it became a subscription app I could still use it although only on exact day. In the past couple of months it’s gotten harder and harder to get past any days to current day and now it’s stuck on Jan 7th and I cannot move past it. I bought the book years ago as well and bought the app for when I’m not home or don’t have book with me. Changing it to a paid subscription is your prerogative…however that should be for new subscribers only and others who bought app to use freely should be grandfathered in to continue to use it as we always have. I’ve remarked multiple times and gotten a couple response, claiming it’s a “glitch” and how to “fix” it and how “updates” have corrected problem. However, I’ve tried everything they suggested as well as deleted and reinstalling app which then made it worse and now I’m not able to move past Jan 7th. Not only that but I’ve since emailed multiple times and get no response. I do believe “Jesus’ Calling” is “Calling” to do what is right and give free access to those who bought the app when it was being sold with free access to the daily readings. That would be the right and just thing to do.
