Infected my phone with its ‘Meta AI’ without my consent…
Meta infected my phone with its ‘Meta AI’ via this app, without my consent, agreement or knowledge. Who do you think you are to behave in such an overbearing and arrogant manner?
Until such time as Meta makes any and all AI features optional, I am boycotting the company, ensuring all my contacts are aware of my actions and why I have acted.
I have stated why I have been forced into this by Meta’s arrogance and complete disregard for customer care, customer wishes and our planet.
This company sees itself as a ‘disrupter’. It is not and never has been anything other than a peddler of the same old tired, capitalist, growth delusion.
I have deleted Messenger completely and also any remaining association with Farcebook. Not that Meta will care or act…
Just imagine what profits there must be in adding the equivalent of a new German electricity demand to the global energy budget every four or five years…
That’s what this data driven industry is doing.
Meta will, and do, cite their commitment to becoming ‘carbon neutral’ but this is a sham - they’re just spending billions on the carbon offsetting lie.
Disrupters? No. Just sold out, old school destructors peddling the same old money crazed delusional rot.
But who gives a fiddler’s about the stupid planet we depend on for everything?
Do global society and our planet a great favour and boycott Meta too.
Or keep being just another brain dead sheep.

Facebook messenger, accessibility improvements.
I definitely would love to see the accessibility of the Facebook messenger iOS application be improved, from registering for a new Facebook account, to logging in.
Is there anyway if possible, if the login issue, and registering issues can be addressed?
Reason I’m asking, is because back in November 11, 2024, when I have registered for a new Facebook account to log into Messenger, there was a bug that I have encountered wintering to register. I could not fill-in my first, or last name , I could not fill in my email/or mobile phone number, I could not fill in my date of birth details using the adjustable sliders, and I could not double tap to edit as prompted by voiceover in the Facebook messenger app.
When trying to log into either Facebook, or messenger with my new Facebook account and the week of November 11, 2024, I get an error message on both the Facebook, and messenger iOS apps, telling me, unable to login. Please try again later.
Can this issue be addressed also please? I’m not liking the bug and that bug needs to go.

My call with Tyler Hynes
Three stars. Most of my call with him went pretty well, we even got to exchange a couple of pictures which was great. I’m still not sold on the fact that it’s actually him, but it was still a fun call. I hope he actually gets the message and the picture. I am a huge fan. I didn’t mean to hit that because I wanted to keep our conversation with the pictures. I am so excited to have talked with you now I’m back to zero again.. Anyway, I have them in my head and my heart and I’ll keep them there. Thanks so much for taking the time to talk with me. My doorbell is ringing. I think it’s my brother and sister-in-law to visit me. Hopefully, we can talk again soon. Please feel free to call me anytime. So there aren’t too many distractions. The best way for me to communicate. New Zealanders use it a lot
Messenger is great when you need to make contact to buy and sell and also for tenancies. NZ is small so it works well for these.
I have fun chats with family and friends, with grand kids the moving backdrop scenes are hilarious. I’m often using the phone and video function. When travelling I start a group page.
I do find the AI function intrusive and generally the information is useless. There’s no point to it.

It is WAY NICE for its to Ur OWN PRÍVATE CHATTING w/someone but u CAN'T ACCESS Ur PICS. or SEND a PIC., as B trading PICS. w/o OUT EVERYONE WATCHING Ur PICTURE pro files, or what am I doing wrong here? Like one thing for SURE I'm not that advanced w/TECHNOLOGY, "SPECIALLY SINCE I was in a SEVERE HEAD INJURY TRAUMA ACCIDENT" when I was in the SERVICE, like now i try to do things but I have TROUBLE LEARNING NEW THINGS at MOST TIMES!! Why is it that we can no longer share our location for 60 mins on messenger? This helped me and my family know where each were. I’m not understanding. Do I need to do something different? Is it in a different place? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!
Also I don’t like that you will restrict me from a group but people calling me horrible things and speaking on my sexuality don’t get restricted as well. Is it because you don’t want me making money cause that’s crazy. I earned every penny and you need to pay me if I will sue mark zuckerberg for stealing my original account with pictures and videos of dead family and friends that I can never get again. I think you need to re check the posts on Kevin gate’s quotes group because the whole thread is about dirty sex and it is disturbing. Theirs young teenagers on here. DO BETTER FACEBOOK!!!!!!!!! Meta AI VERY ANNOYING
I thought updates fixes issues and improves overall performance? How come After I updated messenger on my iPad yesterday, it kept crashing? Everytime I try to open, everything goes black and freezes the whole screen. Please do something about it and make sure future updates don’t cause more problem. Another thing, the features in the old version like maybe until January were way better than the current version (eg. the video icon looks like it’s blinking when you are talking to someone and the person is on your chat/conversation at the same time, it tells you when the one you are calling is on another call, and it shows without having to open the conversation to check whether the last message has been read or not. The latest update is worse. Sometimes it doesn’t show someone is calling when I’m currently on another call. I just found out I got a missed call when I went to the conversations list and it shows I got one from a friend. What if it’s an important call that one of messenger users miss because it didn’t show there’s another one calling??? This is something that needs to be fixed the soonest. I hope you can enable Live Photo sharing as well

Encrypted messages
I have found that hackers are getting in through Marketplace Messenger which is a huge worry Meta needs to protect users regardless of what country we are in. I am going to report this to Scamwatch In Australia which is The Govt Scam watch Which is serious if they get involved I put this up To see who else has been hacked this way. You put something up for sale You get about 10-50 buyers from India Mainly from Delhi their location with a few from Mumbai from the names they use They come in straight away who ask you a question Once you reply they are in to our phone Meta you need to stop this You have no protections for us You’ve left an open door for hackers Of late they are coming in and stealing my photos and my messages Can you tell me what you and your staff have done to stop the encryption messages
A year on Meta has done nothing I have referred this to the Australian Govt dept Scamwatch and I have referred this to the telecommunications ombudsman who will be looking into Meta for answers to this post

Sync between devices
The app works okay, but it is the only one that does not sync between devices as notifications and I do not see why. I often use a browser tab to access my chats while working on my computer and message notifications actions also show up on my phone; although I have read the messages and even replied back on the computer, the notifications persist on my phone and do. It go away until I swipe them off.
The same thing does NOT happen in other apps like WhatsApp or Gmail. If a message is read on the web, the notification goes away on the phone. Except messenger. Which is very annoying. I searched online and even used ChatGPT to see if it might be a setting or something on my device, apparently it has to do with messenger itself having that feature.
Please add it.
