Dying a slow death
I used the app when it first came out and my kid loved it. Then the 'read a word' feature stopped working. Then we stopped being able to purchase books. Then it just stopped working altogether. Really, a great idea...poorly executed, unfortunately.Curious_monkey1

I was excited about this app when i purchase the 50% off for 10 books. But after numerous times of having trouble downloading ..it still does not work. I don't recommend this app to anyone until they fix this problem, not even their auto assistance message .Mommymjs
Needs bugs fixed
This version crashes every time you try to answer the quiz questions, and it doesn't read aloud the words when you tap them.tomabk
Update stinks
Used to love this app so did my child. Since update cannot tap on words to hear, the only voice is when you read the whole page. Bought app to help child learn to read. Please fix!Mom0829
Was great at first...
I LOVED this app when I first got it! But as soon as I bought 11 books, also the day of the update, the most important feature, the sounding out feature, stopped working. This feature is why I wanted this app, and why I would buy books. PLEASE FIX THE GLITCH!!!!!!!!!!Dee09112
Version broken
It used to allow tapping of any word to hear it read out loud but we the last update, that seems to be broken. The only voice reading that works now is the one for the full page.

No phonetic readers?
Crashy. But beyond that, what happened to including phonetically decodable text for early readers? The 0 books are merely based on repetition, while the level 1's are full paragraphs with complex words. Somewhere in between, I would have expected some, "Dog and cat play ball on a mat," since this is specifically targeting early reading. If the kids can't read the words, this becomes just another video.
It has potential, but needs to fill in a gap in leveled content.Skywind8
Great tool for kids and parents
My son loves this app and he uses it on his own, we're having a difficulty with reading but he gets really excited for this app, the books are great and I love getting the emails with the recordings of his readings for the day. Nothing is sweeter than hearing your child read!

My daughter loves the selection of animal books for reader level 1. It is wonderful that she can tap on individual words when she gets stuck. She is 7, and struggling a bit with reading. Booksy is great, and for the features and quality (nice pictures, good reading), .99 a book is a real deal.vindikate
