The app to have access to pay for the magazines, is free... They REALLY haven't fooled anyone. Even in other devices (i.e. Kindles, Nooks, iPads, smartphones, etc.) you need an app first to be able to have access to the magazines... THEN, you can choose which month or edition to get...
