Annual subscription model sucks. Why pay $100 once on something like obdeleven when you can pay $100 every year to use this? And just recently I keep getting error to connect to internet because the carly user data is out of date.. but it is connected. You cannot use this app if you're offline it seems.

Although the App allows you to connect via an ELM327 App, purchase a subscription, but at no point until after purchase of the subscription does it tell you that full functionality cannot be achieved with the Connected adapter and you are required to purchase a Carly Adapter. Carly will not refund the subscription despite failure to notify that the product will not work with installed adapter. This is misleading and deceptive and in violation of Australian Consumer Law. Shame on you Carly.

You can not cancel or change your subscription. You can not change your contact details.
You need to jump through a lot of hoops to get anything done.
there are a lot of free app that does exactly what this does. Do your home work before you buy. Scanner is average. If I knew the auto subscriptions will be $181 and it was easy to cancel, believe me I would have bought a $250 scanner that comes with software.

There are many low-priced OBD2 scanners out there, that's true, but with those, you can't perform DPF regeneration, read and erase manufacturer-specific fault codes, code certain elements of a car, and more. The scanner will tell you there are codes found but you cannot read the codes without an overpriced scamscription. Fool me once, never again.

If you don’t get a subscription you can see how many faults you have and can see or clear anything.. I can buy a $30 scanner on eBay that does a lot more and clear and check codes for free .. don’t buy this rubbish

After paying for a subscription for 3 consecutive years, and having not used the product for 1-2 years, upon using it one day I suddenly realised my subscription had lapsed mid-term. I raised a support case with Carly who fixed the problem immediately, however they refused to tell me how long it had been lapsed for. My argument was that if it had expired for more than 1 year, I’d want my money back, as I had been paying for a service which had not been available. They then repeatedly began closing tickets without answering them, pretending that they weren’t getting my emails, like an immature child, and refused to help me, despite me being overly polite. I will never use this company again and will instead use Bimmercode, who are much better. AVOID.

This way we can help you restoring your access as soon as you inform us that you experience any issues. We also reply to all the tickets in a timely manner. Please send me the ticket numbers and I will glandly check them for you. Remember snake oil salesman? This app is the modern equivalent. They do not support the product, and refuse to refund money that they take. It is a recurring charge annually… at that price, buy a scan tool or something that works for more than 2 months
