  • Suggestion for Watch: make stats up top

This app is great for knowing how bad the air is.

One suggestion I have for the Apple Watch version of the app, is to make the statistics on pollen, O3, PM2.5, NO2, CO, etc show up at the top of the watch’s screen.

This is because while pollen may make me feel miserable, the man-made pollutants are actually dangerous to my health, so I’d like to see those up top.

  • Something changed ?

Something changed on the app within the last six weeks or so. Used to be able to see readings for my small town and many others around me. AQI’s used to be in small squares and literally covered my state (and others) with readings. Now the AQI readings are in circles, and there are only a few in my state, and they are in the same locations as US government / EPA sensors and they’re giving the same numbers as the EPA sensors. Did AirMatters switch to using government sensor data (???), which I’ve found to be much less accurate.

  • I was forced to use and pay for this dysfunctional crap-app

When I bought my philips air scrubber, little did I know that this app was the only chance to interact with the overpriced and underperforming appliance. After setting it up, the philips device joins my network and can be used with third party open source COAP commandline tools but not with this sorry excuse of an app. To add insult to injury I am forced to pay on top of the price of the already overpriced philips cleaner to remove ads. Seriously... this is 2021... you still do ad stuff and sell broken iot devices? Not amused... (my home network is using aruba access points, if you’re interested to fix this)

  • Improved Update

Good to see larger, on-screen annotations. Now easier to read on small-screen devices

The best pollution-tracking App there is - by many miles !!

  • This app really is excellent

I don't write app reviews. This won't be a particularly *detailed* app review either - no feature list / analysis or anything. I'm really tired and I'm having a bad pollen day, but I was using this app to plan my schedule for tomorrow, and thought to myself "Man, these people actually deserve 99 cents. I wish I could tip them. This is meaningfully improving my life a little bit. (nothing life-changing ofc, but I mean, it's a tool and it helps)."

5/5 stars. [Insert glowing technical review here]

  • Connection issues since update 2 weeks ago

Since the update 2 weeks ago I can no longer connect to my device via my phone like I used to. I can see the set up process looks visually slightly different on the app but the process seems the same, however app is no longer useable as it won’t successfully connect with my purifier! Please fix this issue.

  • Good but forecasts are terrible and crashes

Forecast is always good but my air quality is not that. App has regular crashes when clicking on certain items. Developers need to test their app more.
  • Quite possibly a lifesaver

Real time air quality indices and recommendations for searchable areas. If you have a respiratory problem you probably should have this app.

It also advises if you should have an air purifier and how aggressively to set it.

With the fires in the Pacific Northwest US right now it cued our household that we need to relocate to stay with family in a better region. With nowhere to escape the smoke, we could identify with “safer” air to stay—and an air purifier, because they are completely sold out in our area.

    VERY USEFUL!

  • Best air app

This is the most comprehensive air quality index app I’ve found. Excellent detail, the map works great, and I love the world wide information.
