Description of MyTeleMed

The MyTeleMed iPhone app allows doctors to securely manage their important medical messages with HIPAA Compliance by protecting any Personal Health Information (PHI). How does it work? Patients call your dedicated number that reaches TeleMed answering service which is available 24/7/365. Doctors are notified by receiving messages in the app. Doctors can also contact customer service directly through the app via phone and e-mail. Doctors that use the MyTeleMed app receive push notifications that notify them of a new patient message. The doctor can click on the notification and open the patient messages within the MyTeleMed app. The message will contain the severity of the message, message details, and call back information. Doctor’s comments and callbacks on messages are logged with the time and duration of the call and even provide an option to record the call. For an extra layer of message delivery assurance, TeleMed creates a customized escalation procedure that repeats messages or calls you within timelines you set. If you cannot be reached, the call is escalated to others per your instructions. You can manage your escalation procedures through our website or by contacting a TeleMed service representative by phone.   • Needs an update for notifications

    Lately this app has been spotty with actually pushing through sound notifications. I think it needs a new update with recent iOS updates. I have been missing pages because my phone isn’t making any sound with notifications from this app, and it worked very well before.
  • Worst service line ever

    Do not use this company. There are many others out there that are much better. If you are an employee, there is no line for you to be able to reach a supervisor if there’s a problem with the app. I work day and night triage from Friday evening until Monday morning. I’m on call the entire time. As such, I have requested that they send a message and call me in case I am sleeping. They also promised an escalation system in case the call goes unanswered for a certain period of time. This weekend, there were never any calls from telemed, only messages. In addition-nothing was ever escalated. On Friday night I received a call in the middle of the night, they only sent one message, never called me, never escalated the message and the patient was not able to receive a call back until I found the message four hours later. I called telemed to make sure that the settings were correct, they promised me three times the supervisor would call me back. I sat on hold and waited for long periods of time each time I called to make the request. The last time I finally got a hold of a supervisor, she said she would submit a ticket to the research team. I said well when is this going to be fixed because it’s Saturday night and I do not want to miss any calls, and she said the research team won’t fix it until Monday. So I asked her if there was anything to make sure that telemed would call at night and she said it would be fixed Monday. Well on a Saturday night that doesn’t do much for patients calling in. Nothing was resolved.
  • So much easier

    This helps me call people back without them seeing my phone number. Easy to get messages then call people back. Saves so much of my time.
