Not good anymore
This used to be my go to weather app but not anymore.
I want to keep track of the hurricane that’s making its way towards us but it’s a bit hard to believe this app when it says that the current temperature at my current location is 71 degrees when everything else including my own thermometer says it’s 82 degrees.
The app says that there is only a 7% chance of rain at my current location and it’s raining hard outside and has been for a bit. This app says there is only a 7% chance of rain for today, tomorrow and the next day and them rises to 12%, all of the other apps and news channels are saying 85% for today, 95% for tomorrow, 85% for the next day and 65% for the day after that.
The radar map apparently is no longer available on the free app because it wants me to get a paid subscription to view the radar map.
It’s odd that when I need the app the most, it wants me to subscribe. If they think that providing erroneous information and taking away the radar map will entice me into a subscription, they’re sadly mistaken, instead, I’m deleting it.

So much potential…
I subscribed for a month because I wanted custom weather alerts. The app crashed multiple times trying to set them up, but I finally managed to get them done… Only to find out that there’s no alert or notification for the “smart forecasts”. The smart forecasts are a great idea, but it only shows one on the Home Screen - the first one you set up. And there’s no way to reorder them. The UI needs a lot of work, but there’s a lot of potential here.
I’ve cancelled my subscription and continue my search for a weather app with custom weather alerts…

Two legged dog
Microsoft turned what was once an excellent piece of software into a two legged dog. Features once freely available are no longer free.
Whats more they expect the owners of weatherstations to pay for access to their data they voluntarily submit.
Over the past few years I have also found the accuracy of the weather forecasts to have declined.
A rating of one star is one star too many.

Great app localised weather stations
Love it
No change
Despite reporting several errors back in January 2023, nothing has changed. For example the wind direction arrows point in the reverse direction when looking at the hour by hour forecast, but point in the correct direction when looking at the current conditions. Around the British Isles the rain bearing clouds can be arc shaped or have dead straight lines. No clouds seem to be out in Atlantic they all suddenly start over Land’s End with a hard curved edge. Any in the English Channel have straight edges. Please sort it out.

Looks good. Impressive how you have managed to deal with different weather systems. Tropical weather systems in Sri Lanka where radar is of no use, but you present the information so clearly. And the European weather where your radar presentation is well done. All the old reviews from years ago will hold you back indefinitely. Poor you. And free too. Good for you.

Sluggish & Often Incorrect
I’ve noticed over the last few months that the app has been much slower in updating the current weather and forecast when I initiate a page refresh. It sometimes displays weather from another saved city in my saved list as the local weather for the actual location I’m in.
Also, I depend on accurate hyper local weather forecasts. I do all of my work in the field, mostly while primitive camping. I need to know what to prepare for, to avoid setting up camp on a ridge versus a valley. A conservative estimate on their 3-4 hour forecast accuracy would be 40% at best. Far too often, I will check the forecast before bed and the night will be clear skies or partly cloudy, then I’ll wake up in the early morning to lightning and thunder! Prediction accuracy of major storms 4-5 days out is abysmal.
Please post your new favorite weather app because I’m looking around for a better service. This is just an ad machine with a basic radar function and broadly inaccurate weather forecasts.

It can improve BUT still the most accurate!
Not sure what people are complaining about. There are slight glitches but the info is the most accurate I have used so far. The design of the app is very efficient. I personally love it compared to the big weather apps.
Excellent weather app
Very accurate and with lots of additional weather details. Very pleased with the free version and the adverts are not very frequent. I would like to upgrade to the full version but the price of nearly £20 per year is far too expensive for this type of app.
