Needs forward compatibility
This game is amazing overall- great story, interesting mechanics, attractive stylized visuals, and no bugs to be found.

I love this game so much it's a video game with a girl main character!!!! Ceep up the shantae games she's amazing and has inspired me so much! WIRED mifi controllers only
The update apparently only works with wired mifi controllers (ones that plug into the lightning port). It does not work with my Horipad on an iPhone 6s iOS 9.x
Would give a fifth star if it supported controllers. This game is all about tight controls. You really need that controller for the best experience.

Great game, but crashes after opening fight
The Shantae games are fantastic, wonderful action adventure games, and being able to play on iOS is a really nice idea.
Unfortunately, on my iPhone 6 on iOS 9.2, the game crashes after the opening fight. I haven't seen any updates in a few years, but hopefully someone at WayForward sees this and a patch can come around to fix it.Show lessScharling
Good except controls
As a fan of the series, this game is nothing short of what I have come to expect. Platforming with a digital joystick, though, just doesn't work.A 3.5 DM
No MFi Gamepad Support - Double Charge
The game claims to support all standard MFi gamepads, but does not. I have a PXN Speedy MFi gamepad that works fine with several other iOS games, but not this.
The game also requires you to buy it twice for some odd reason and even though their own support page says you won't be double charged, I was.Show lessGarrick G.

The Best Mobile Game
The platforming is amazing. It's so elaborate that I'v gotten lost a few times. There's exploring to be done. Lots of it. I'v currently already spent 12 hours and 18 minutes on it and I'm still not finished. The NPCs say funny things that change every time the story advances. The animation and music is all very nice. If I had one complaint, it would be that I wish it would be even bigger, but I guess I'm asking for too much. This is by far my favorite mobile game ever.Show lessIron Paint

Fun game, but needs MFi controller support.
This game is a blast, and has some Metroidvania-type qualities. I would give it 5 stars, but it doesn't support official, Made For iPhone controllers (MFi). Now that there are officially supported controllers, if a game is going to support controllers, it should support the official ones, and actual buttons always make retro games better.Show lessDr. Stanley
