  • Great idea but too much spam

Update. I lowered my score because now there are tons of full screen ads for video games and tons of notification spam that are not for real matches. It will blast you every day for their stupid dating game.

Also they take away your paid credits for duplicate accidental “hi”

It’s a shame because This app has a lot of promise. Let it run in the background for a few weeks and then look for people you may march with.

    Fantastic idea.

However, there is no way to sort or filter the timeline.

This is an issue in a city with a lot of tourists.

Sort by most times crossed path would be nice.

Filter to only show people you have crossed with 3+ times would help..

But no new features for users in over a year.... just a ton more ads...

I think if they don’t do a better job of adding features for users rather than just advertisers then Tinder will add this as a feature and wipe them out. Sad.

  • Too many ads, not enough safety features

The app would pick up anyone who walked past my house or my office with this app installed — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing because I live in a small city and the app isn’t very popular here. Sometimes, the same match would frequently pass both. One match messaged — and he may have been joking, but I chose not to respond and blocked him — that he knew where I lived based on how frequently he matched with me as he passed by my house during my non-working hours. My complaint is that there were so many ads, and not enough control given to the user over their data and personal safety within the app. This is a premium feature — when it should ABSOLUTELY be standard — and the cost of a premium membership is much too steep for the app that it is. I have used better apps and paid much less for them, and safety is their main concern — you don’t have to pay for safety features in a quality app.

  • Is okay

Haven't met any birds off it or chatted to anyone. It must be working well haha.
  • The new update is really inefficient!

Happ’n is a pretty good and fun app. Especially when you connect with potentials.
Though this latest update sports full screen size profile images(even larger than Tinder!) compared to the previous format of mini view Tiles(which you click on to enlarge). I enjoy using these apps because Normally it’s quick to browse and if I notice a prospect I can check out their profile.
But unfortunately now we have this new layout.. it looks great! BUT Efficiency is affected. My main problem is the large amount of Likes I’ve put out there(yeah I’m fugly) and I must shuffle through them one by one, profile by profile, to find another Like in which to express my interest.

I’m sure they had a great reason to make this change. I’m just so not feeling it! So Happ’n app goes from 3 of 5 Stars, to 1/5.

All the other chat functions are fine. 4/5.

    Good luck!☘️🤙🏽

  • Thanks for the benefits

Pity about the poor app design and adverts (you had the chance to do something cool and original) glad you are staying competitive 🙄😔😒
  • What a stupid app

Most racist app I’ve ever seen in my life..
  • Do not waste your time or money. Happn don’t care about you

Amidst false matches, fake profiles, and being repeatedly ripped off when paying for services, Happn have made it very clear that they don’t care about their customers, all too happy to palm you off to Apple when they need to fix their program. Don’t waste your time. The app doesn’t even work, continually telling me I have liked people I have never seen before, paid for services I have never bought, and they outright falsely advertise actions in their app that doesn’t even happen (such as giving you 10 per day if you sign up with a subscription

  • Free credits & better location functionality

I agree with Patsygoh & Aqualian.

Crossed paths with would be better if it showed whether you'd been in multiple locations with a person & maybe had a requirement that you have to be stationary in one location for a certain number of minutes. Their point about crossing paths in a taxi is very valid! Or at least also show their current location the entire time instead of the "active today", and have a location radius you can set. Effectively crossmatching people that live within your set radius with those you’ve crossed paths with.

Definitely needs to come on board with the free credits. Even "Two peas" how has 7 free per day. 7 free total is a joke. Changing the charm to "say hi" a few updates ago is deceptive and I a wasted free charm because I thought it meant someone had matched with me. Another friend who had just loaded the app wasted 3 because she thought they were like "super-likes" that renewed daily.

Adding more between the grid might also be good because it's easy to accidentally waste a charm while you're either scrolling through or have meant to "swipe left" on someone (by hitting the "x").

As previously suggested by others clearing people we've swiped left on permanently would also de-clutter the matches.

Good concept but has a fair way to go to catch up with Bumble& tinder.

  • A good idea ruined for greediness!

Update 31 March 2018: when I thought things couldn’t get worst, now you have a full faced pic again and again of the same people you have liked months ago. I really can’t understand why happn keep complicating this app, it’s imposible to find new people even in a city like London! Or probably it’s because everyone is migrating to other more user friendly apps.

    ——————————

Bring back the "already charmed" option please!
Or we run the risk of looks like a pest charming the same person twice!
Also when someone tag you as "not interested" they should disappear of your list and not just shown as "Active a few weeks ago"

Update: this app is getting worse and worse.
I used to spend a good amount of money buying ‘charms’ so I can use them when needed. The new subscriptions model is rubbish! £20 per month??? And just 5 Hi per day? I don’t use this app everyday because I know in my area there not enough people and already skipped or liked all of them, but I go to London a few times per week when I have the opportunity to meet new people and match with them, so I use it more often and I can easily use more than 5 Hi in those days.
Now the app is full of invasive banners too.
Also now it give you fake notifications to make you open the app to play a stupid crush game I’m not interested at all!
In conclusion an App designed to rip you off in every possible way!
Greedy developers ruining a good idea and what used to be a good app!

  • Good, but basic

I like how it feels more real than other dating Apps, such as Tinder, as you get to see people you’re actually passing by on the streets.

However your feed can get very messy and overwhelming very quickly due to a lack of filtering options. Eg you should be able to filter by people you have already liked vs people you haven’t liked, you should be able to filter by date you passed eg show me people I passed by today only, and so on.

Also, I have lots of questions but no way to contact you / no relevant onboarding, eg:
    1) Does the circle on the map show your location when you passed or theirs? At first I thought it was “obviously” our location, but then noticed locations I wasn’t at popping up, which made me think it was theirs instead...?
    2) What is the distance / proximity they can be to us to be considered to have passed us by, and therefore he added to our feed?
    3) Similarly, does everyone within that proximity get picked up, or do they need to be within that proximity for x amount of time first, eg 5 mins?
