  • Good

    Very good game
  • Love it

I've only been playing a few days and I'm hooked! It's very engaging and has not got boring yet, I've been looking for a game like this for a while (I originally tried to find games like harvest moon so if you like those you'll like this too!). I still have ages to go and I'm looking forward to every step of it! It's fantastic!

  • Good game, but buggy

Interesting concept, and good game play and storyline.
However, around the second dungeon it started crashing... I now can't get passed about 3 battles in there without the game crashing.
Also, I feel there should be a warning in the tutorial about how serious death is... Just something along the lines of 'be careful not to die in the dungeons, as that will mean the end of the game! Try to save often to avoid loosing progress'

  • Quite fun

Adventure Bar Story is quite the charming RPG game about a young lady named Siela, who is trying to save her family's restaurant from being driven out of business. She takes over as the cook and has to collect ingredients by hunting monsters or collecting them from exploring local fields and forests.

Siela is initially supported by her friend Fred, and the game begins with two members in the party. Later as the story progresses, more and more people join the party (three at once, and can be replaced freely) to help discover new places and fight bosses. Recipes can be received by speaking to NPCs, purchased from item shops or even figured out using logic. (Blend a strawberry, get strawberry juice!)

The graphics are gorgeous and is reminiscent of the 16-bit era of video games, and while the music is not exactly ground-breaking it does seem to fit the mood adequately.

My main complaints are the initial slow start to the game and tendency toward grinding. However, I've spent 7 hours playing the game and am keen to play more, and have not even discovered half of the locations yet. All in all, a decent game, and I think those who appreciate the good old days of RPGs in the 16-bit era would enjoy this.

  • Very fun game!

    Really fun and addictive game!!
  • Creative game

People who enjoyed Recettear on the PC will enjoy this game.

Adventure to get ingredients for free, then cook up what you have found for profit.
  • So Much Fun

Thanks to the game developers for coming up with this fascinating game. I have a feeling I will be replaying it for a long, long time. There are so many different ingredients to play with. I'm not finished with the game yet, but I'm so glad there's something like this in the App store. Nothing else compares to it. The dialogue is funny, the story is interesting (I'm not sure where it's going, but the characters interest me so far), and making different foods is amazing.

I'm really glad you don't need IAP to play this game because I don't have an internet connection and I don't have free wifi spots nearby. But I love this game, and I wish there were more things as fun as this. I think I'm going to be sad when I complete the game because I know that nothing else in the app store will compare with this.

  • Awesome. Tips included inside!

For a port of an old game, Adventure Bar is one if the best out there. With a unique concept mixed in with old RPG elements, you'll find the break between the two sides of the game to set the perfect pace. However, it can get a bit tedious, especially when grinding to get to harder dungeons.
Tip: Don't go into a new dungeon until you're at least 5 lvs higher then the previous dungeon. Even then, save before you head out and create another midway. This way you can bail if it gets too hard or the end boss whips you good.
Oh, and before using all your precious gems, just be smart and save before unlocking a recipe. That way you'll know the ingredients and save a gem.
There is also a very helpful google spreadsheet online that tells you every single recipe, hint, and plot unlock point. Use it, for it will basically be your copilot as you play.
    Have fun!
