Cannot refund although I cannot use it at all
I tried to click the restore purchase button, it shown as in processing forever.
I sent refund request to Apple, they told me to contact app developer since they cannot refund such purchase.
I contacted app developer and was told to contact Apple since I bought from Apple.
It’s frustrating.
Needs to support more than one profile
It would be much better to have multiple named profiles, so that the history was stored by profile. The both of my children could see their progress, not just the first one!
Nothing plays
I’ve paid for this app and it doesn’t even work!

Hi piannoo, Thank you for your comment. Please ensure that the volume is turned up on your device and that the mute switch is in the 'off' position. If you are still encountering a problem, please email us at auraltrainer@abrsm.ac.uk with a detailed description so we can advise you.
Really not great
Response from developer
Hello Singingteach, Thank you for your comment. Please note that there are no clapping tests in the app - you must tap the screen in order to answer the question. If you clap your response will not be registered as the app is expecting you to tap the screen. Start tapping within two bars of the piece starting to have a chance of getting all the beats correct. You can tap anywhere on the screen but try to stay on the same spot on the screen. If you leap about too much your response may not register fully. If you are referring to the rhythmic repetition and pulse and metre exercises where you mention clapping, please note that you need to tap the screen in time to the music. If you need further assistance using the app please contact auraltrainer@abrsm.ac.uk
Very good but
The only problem is for sight singing; when you open it, it comes up with a message saying you need to put you phone in landscape mode but when I do this it doesn’t do anything even if I open it in landscape mode. This might just be me but if it isn’t could you please fix it? 🙏🏽
Overall this is a excellent app and I recommend it for people struggling with aural 😃😃😃
Response from developer
Hi Olaaaa.H, thank you for your review and feedback. There are no known issues with the sight-singing sections of the app, but please check that your phone does not have orientation lock switched on as this will stop the exercises from working correctly. If you need further help please email us at auraltrainer@abrsm.ac.uk so we can assist you. We hope you will continue to enjoy using the app!
Bad
- The sight-singing exercise is oddly marked, I’ve only ever gotten a few notes ticked ever and usually they give me none right (and I’m using this for my grade 5 singing!)
- The sight-singing exercise also has a supposed tuner feature which I believe to be at the bottom but it doesn’t seem to do anything
- The tapping rhythm is overly harsh, you could be just one quaver out and it would fail you which isn’t good if you’re trying to get a realistic sense of what you would get in an exam
- It’s not compatible with my headphones i.e. it refuses to recognise them and plays the sound out loud which is fine
- The app overall is not designed intuitively and takes a while to get the hang of which would be hard if you’re not tech savvy
There are some pros!
- The melody repetition exercises are fine and you can grade your own performance, checking your recording against the original
- The musical features exercise is good (however you are limited in your answers)
Overall if you struggle with identifying the styles of musical pieces or melody repetition I would get this app, otherwise it’s not worth the money
