New Update is TERRIBLE!!!
For some reason, I can no longer edit the "events" section when I launch the editor. All I need to do is update the time frame for our wedding rehearsal and the edit button is just not there - I can edit widgets and other information under the events section, but there is no way for me to edit the actual time of the event (nor the name or location - if that was something I needed to also change.) I'm getting married in a month and I need to be able to update the information on our page as soon as possible so that it is accurate for our guests. This is SO annoying and I am incredibly disappointed. There is no contact phone number for customer service and "Melissa" the lady I've been dealing with in support via email has no idea what I'm talking about when I tell her my issue. Unfortunately, I have no way of "talking it out" either so she can better understand. This app/wedding website used to be great and now it is terrible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.Show lessTbrand32012
Happy with Appy
I have to say I'm surprised appy couple got so many negative reviews. My husband & I were married in March of 2015 and we got the website/app almost a year before that. I love that it has everything! Photos, our story, linked registry, detailed info about the wedding day, etc. Best of all I could personalize it to make it ours! Now whenever I'm feeling nostalgic, I can just go back and look at it! For us it really worked out well! We have friends & family all over the US so if anyone ever had a question, I could just refer them to the app/website! Brilliant! Oh, did I mention the website is extremely user friendly? Horrendous app. Embarrassed to recommend to wedding guests.
Let me start off by saying that I build apps for a living, and I would be embarrassed to recommend this app to my wedding guests. So, even though I am using Appy Couple for my wedding website, I will absolutely not even be telling my guests that there is a mobile app for downloading. Every tap takes 3-4 tries before a response is registered, and every page takes about 5 seconds to load. On top of that, the UI design is nightmarish; the menu disappears to the side and only appears after you have tapped the edge of the screen a few times without any idea whether that is where it is hidden. My guess is that this was built in HTML5 using a wrapper because Appy Couple does not know how to build native iOS apps. I will be telling my wedding guests to use the mobile web version, which actually performs better than the app, though that is not saying much.Show lessAnonymous Bride
Easy and Elegant
Girlfriend’s girlfriend was getting married, and one of the bride’s maids suggested she use this app. I can say that this was definitely worth the download and it made everyone’s life easier.
It’s fairly intuitive, you simple tap on the picture and a menu pops up with a picture gallery, travel information, and registries that the couple signed up for. The countdown and chat features are just icing on the cake, and you can tell each screen was carefully thought out.
I am giving this app 5 stars because it worked very well for it’s purpose, and many don’t. Some are flashy but don’t do what they are supposed to. So it was worth the review, and rating, and I’m glad we still have developers that put great products together and don’t sacrifice quality to make a quick buck.Show lessDiversian
Hard for guests to figure out how to use
I don’t want my guests to have to learn how to use the app, I want it to just work for them, which means I want it to behave like every other app out there. Instead, the navigation to the main parts of the app are hidden and there is no way to know where you are in the app.
The journey of the person using the app is very disrupted by the navigation. I’m not sure why the page the user lands on is just a photo and not content like the couple story. The app really should be organized in the order guests will use things. Instead, the main bar of the app is for capturing photos and comments which you wouldn’t use until the actual wedding, and there is an info button at the left which normally indicates the first page in the app. The navigation is hidden and the least important section has an icon in the most important spot! The last two weddings I was at, no one used the capturing because they were too busy enjoying the wedding.
I think people mostly used the app for finding the venue and learning who was in the wedding party, which individually are good experiences.Show lessmamacats2010
Wedding made easy for low tech couple!!!
Appy couple is incredible. My soon to be husband and I are not high tech.. At all.. But we wanted to have our friends be able to see event details, photos, etc. Appy couple was this and so much more! The theme matched our actual wedding invitations, our friends were able to share funny.. And embarrassing toasts and photos.. All without us having to spend the time spinning our wheels trying to figure out the app!!
The in-app messaging feature is so great. The countdown clock is getting everyone so psyched for our weekend! And last but definitely not least, the in app RSVP is taking so much stress of trying to track RSVPs off our shoulders.

Good start, but not perfect.
The app/site is easy to set up. It is nice that it is simultaneous. The website should look more like a website with different pages so it's not a million miles long. I think you should be able to 'favorite your designs so you can go back and choose from a few instead of sifting through 300. I can't get the welcome page to show up on the app. I like how you and guests can add pictures but I wish there were separate galleries for your uploads (for engagement pictures , etc) and event photos. It is neat that you have unlimited space! I can't get the weather app to work (I live in Montana??). I also wish you could slide exactly what part of a picture you want to show in 'key people'. The puzzle is unnecessary. The poll would be better if you could have open ended questions (e.g. song requests). I think travel could be split up into multiple pages too. That page is loooong on the app. Haven't gotten use the registry, RSVP, or guest list yet. I like the printable table cards! It would be nice to get rid of appycouple in the URL too. Overall, neat idea but for $28, needs some improvements.Show lesssrlinford
Looooooooooove APPY COUPLE!
I am obsessed with Appy Couple. My only problem is that I am staying up way too late every night because I am OCD when it comes to finding the perfect design and there are just too too many beautiful ones to chose from. My hubby to be also gets into it and makes me change them to more "neutral" designs because his friends use it too. That's what is so awesome about Appy- because it's actually a pretty innovative technology it has the cool factor that guys like too rather than just some embarrassing wedding website that you're forced to use so people know where to buy you gifts. 45 days to go and we are having so much fun watching the RSVPs roll in. After researching a variety of wedding website options on the market, we decided that the BETA version of AppyCouple was the best fit for our wedding. The AppyCouple App will allow our guests to have on-the-go access to information and well as share photos in real-time on our wedding day.
