Leave a Review SunPass
Comically Bad
Please establish a future hiring standard that your coding/logistics personnel have a minimally functional IQ. I can't even take this app/site seriously. To register a transponder, you need to make an account. To make an account you're required to purchase another transponder while registering. If you eventually figure out how to get around this part, you can register your transponder number on the one you've already purchased.. EXCEPT if you have ever driven on a toll road, they've already created an account for your license plate and it won't let you continue. When you eventually dig up that account number and try to log in using it, SunPass can't verify it's you. There's no verification/recovery process because none of your information was used in actually creating the account number they gave you, meaning you can't create a new account with your license plate numbers or register your transponder.Show lessWorks but will fail you!
It works like a webpage in the beginning od 2000s. It is sloooow and laggy, looks like some school children made it and has some of the dumbest design features ever. I smashed my transponder to the ground after it caused me to get a toll violation and make a huge line, and also stack up a nice unpaid toll penalty - you wonder how? Like this: when you check your balance, you see the number as (example) $5.87. What do you think, how is negative balance displayed? How do you know you owe money for toll and your account cannot be charged for toll? It is displayed (example): ($5.87). Makes sense? You get it? () makes it MINUS the amount! So you check the balance, looks OK but it isn’t! And no, I do not place stuff on auto replenishment - I pay my bills, I don’t want some app to be able to drain my account and have access whenever. No more SunPass for me, it’s been smashed into pieces and ran over in Illinois. Hours later when I went to close the account - I found that it wasn’t the transponder that failed, it’s SunPass that failed. Good riddance, never again!Show lessHangs up & crashes registering transponder, in iOS
First time users in iOS will find it impossible to get beyond step 2 in trying to set up an account and register a new transponder purchased offline. The app will hang up and crash after trying to submit the step 2 information.
The entire app design is poorly executed, with a bunch of hard stops that do not allow you to proceed. The website has its issues as well. I was forced to register my transponder through the toll free support number (which the app can’t seem to dial when clicking the call link).
I do seem to be able to check toll activity, but have yet to try anything different on the app like adding funds or switching the transponder to a new vehicle.Show less
