Better than XE or InstaREM for USD $ to MXN peso
OFX has consistently given me the best rate and fastest service to Mexican pesos. I read the review from the person who was having trouble setting up their Mexican account number with only 10 digits. While a Mexican bank account may be 10 digits, the Clabe used for all SPEI transfers is always 18 digits. Mexican banks should give you both. It’s also NOT your 16 digit debit card number. As for speed of transfer, whenever I use a wire transferring my funds to OFX, I get it the same day at my bank in Mexico. An afternoon wire might be next morning. All ACH transfers of funds to OFX usually takes no longer than 3-4 days. I’ve always had great customer service whenever I’ve called. Initial setup is a process, but if you give what they ask for, it’s fairly smooth. Just make sure bank account names match, addresses match, etc. and it’s a piece of cake. If you don’t think you are getting the best rate, call them. Also consider how much you are transferring and how frequently. I’m sure these factors may affect your rate. If you only transfer $500 every 6 months, why would you expect the very best rates? OFX has always given me the best rates directly from my US bank to Mexican bank without having to use their App to spend my money or having to deal with a quasi banking App such as Wise and the like.

Terrible Service, Long Wait times For Account Activation
Have been waiting over 6 weeks for account activation. Every time I follow up told 48hours, and then nothing. I will not trust this group with my money considering they cannot even activate an account, ended up going with Western Union who had better rates anyway, and was able to transfer money successfully that day. Don’t waste your time, OFX Cleary don’t want any news business.

Domestic Transfer
I have been using OFX for over 15 years to send money to our daughter and family in Australia, for gifts, birthdays, Xmas etc and always received excellent services. No fees what soever, using ANZ Bank. Best wishes to the OFX TEAM.
The way they go about the verification process is ridiculous
So i installed the app so i could send money back and forth to a friend who lives in the uk. During the first 30min of having the app installed, even after putting my license number into the app i got a message saying “account needs verification” and it said i had to call them. Then over the next day or two i called them a few times and they asked really dumb questions and the email they needed to send me finally showed up in my inbox. Then your account will be good to go but then a few days later they need to verify something else and after u send the required info apparently it takes 3-5 business days for them to verify. Its like theyre trying to waist your time.

Login problems
Mixes up the location of the user. Sometimes I am presented with AU options (when account is locked up, presented with “call from Australia? “ question.

Reasonable rates but slow transfers
I’ve used OFX for more than 10 years to move money like house deposits and proceed of house sales between UK and Australia. The rates are good but the speed of the transfer process has fallen behind the financial services industry.
The banks I use at both ends of a transfer do real-time payments to/from OFX, but it then takes up to 24 hours for OFX to sit on the money before the transfer happens. If I transfer from UK to Aus directly between my bank accounts it happens instantly.

Excellent rates and service
I’ve been using OFX for over 3 years now and I can’t understand why others have issues. Transfers are free all be it you have to ask and if you are a regular user they will beat the rates of other exchange services. Again you have to ask but once you are set up you don’t have to ever ask again.

My account was terminated for no reason
OFX terminated my account after refusing to give my husband savings account statement that’s after sending my own checking account statement and refused to do the transfer for me and when I called they didn’t say acceptable reason for it all they said find another money transfer service, I just want to share my experience so be careful giving your information to these companies Be aware of third parties

Quick, easy and excellent rates
I first started using the app back in 2017 and I have always found the rates and service excellent. But recently the service has got even better with the transfers getting to my bank same day now. I haven’t got a bad word to say.
