  • Very frustrating experience

The whole experience of configuring the app has been extremely frustrating.

When I first ran the app on my iPhone 14 Pro only the on/off switch and ambient temperature soft switches where listed.

I thought “ok I guess that is all you can do with the wifi”

After about 1/2 an hour pr so I navigated back to the app and (oddly) noticed that the app now listed all of the functions. I hadn’t force closed the app or anything. Anyway I accepted that as progress even tho I would have much preferred to know how this magically happened.

I then navigated to the scenes page of the app.

I created and saved scenes but they were not listed on my 14Pro.

(I contacted support and still haven’t received a ‘prompt’ reply).

I noticed that the scenes were now listed on my iPad whereas they weren’t yesterday.

They were also listed on an old iPhone I installed and logged onto this morning. Perhaps the app is not compatible with a newer phone??

Let’s try deleting and reinstalling the app. I deleted the app and reinstalled it.

Scenes now ARE showing on my iPhone14.

So the app appears to be fully functional but what a stupidly frustrating and aggravating experience.

Heaven help anyone who doesn’t have a Masters degree in app development when they try and get this app to work.

  • Doesn’t always work

Sometimes, I will turn it off, it will stop but the vent will remain open, other times I will open it and it won’t open or the vent will open but not operate. Very frustrating. I did some reset, the app is up to date but nothing have changed.
Just frustrating and hard to control sometimes.
  • Avoid at all cost

For the price you pay it is absolutely not worth buying.
I own many many wifi control devices so I am use to setting controllers up, I am also in the IT industry and this unit will be one of the most difficult things you will set up.
My issue seems to be my WIFI is to strong.
My modem is approximately 5m away I can only guess it’s flooding the unit.
A friend of mine also has the same unit both connected to a Mitsubishi heat pump and he said the same thing NIGHTMARE!!

  • App crashes and poor support.

Before seeing all the recent reviews on the App Store, I reached out to get support from their team. The app consistently crashes when you use it for the first time, and can’t handle multiple inputs at once.
Long story short, they lied, in black and white, and said they hadn’t heard of any issues to the nature. That’s when I came to the App Store and found all the recent reviews. When I brought their attention to these App Store reviews, they miraculously had recommendations on how to fix the issue, which essentially blamed the iPhone platform.
Horrible way for the support staff to treat customers.

  • Crashes consistently to the point of being unusable.

This app seems to get frequent updates, that apparently are minor bug fixes, but in the 3 years I have been using it, no matter what, this app crashes *every single time* I launch it.
Sometimes, I can get to clicks in, then a crash, sometimes three, but it always crashes. Most operations, like turning on a unit, or changing the temperature or fan speed, will require 2 or three app launches.

I don’t know what bugs the developers are fixing, but it’s not this issue. This has been consistent with iPhone X, 12 and 13, with iOS 14, 15, 16 and 17. I raised support tickets, offered feedback but nothing has changed. I am amazed it’s allowed on the App Store being so crash prone.

It’s got so bad that I’ve had to create my own actions in IFTTT to reliably turn things on and off.

  • Meh! Not quite fit for purpose

Unable to control Zone settings. So you have to get up, go to the wall controller and turn on zone1 (Office) , turn off zone 2 (bedroom) and turn on Zone 3 (downstairs) . Which defeats the whole remote control idea. Like back in the 70s with your tV get up to turn the channel. Hey it’s better than nothing it has the minimum basics but it should really do everything the wall controller does. Overpriced what it can do. Hopefully a software upgrade will come so that I no longer feel I’m back in the 70s
