Worst Secret Shopper App! Rarely pays!

Hands down the worst secret shopper app. I’ve been using this for years and they recently (last 6 months) have started rejecting missions for the worst excuses. You take the time, you drive to the store, you complete the mission, they get the info they want, and then don’t pay you! I’ve had missions rejected for things they’ve asked wrong, not explained, and now for time?!? Telling me that I cannot walk a store to locate an obvious product on an endcap in 10 minutes. Don’t waste your time, there’s better apps out there that actually pay!
Sure you can explain your case after they refuse your mission but the customer service takes forever to get back to you. They say 7 days, which is way to long to begin with, but even when they take longer they don’t give you your points.

Should be called “Free Labor”

The app should be called free labor because you never get credit for what you do. You can do a mission and not get any credit for it whatsoever because the store doesn’t match what they think is there. For example, I went to a Costco and because the Costco didn’t have the product on an aisle I didn’t get credit. I turned in my picture of the product as a free standing display. How are you supposed to take a picture of something that isn’t the way it is described? And if you turn it in you don’t get credit. In other words words, free labor. It’s a big risk to do any mission because there’s a good chance you won’t get paid for it.

WASTE OF TIME

I have accomplished many missions for months and accumulated almost a hundred dollars but these days the app went wrong. The missions appeared and when I reached the destination they disappeared. It was the same pattern for a few days. On Monday. I emailed the support team and followed her steps to recover the app but does not work. I followed her last step and uninstalled the app and reinstalled it again. It is so frustrating that it could not connect with my Facebook again and keep saying I put the wrong password. I emailed the support team many times for 3 days asking for resetting the password but they never replied. So sad when I could not open my Mobee account again. So sad when I have wasted a lot of time doing these missions and many of them were only $1.5 . So sad when you reached the destination and found out that the mission was taken by others since the missions cannot be reserved. So sad when you have spent over an hour to complete a mission of $8 and they rejected it because they replied it was a bug. It is just a WASTE Of TIME here.

Hi, Thank you for your review! I took a look into our email queue and we did receive an email that you were now able to log into your account. If you are still having difficulties please feel free to reach back out so we can look further into what may be causing the problem! In regard to the Missions disappearing, if a Mission reaches its cap before you are able to begin the Mission, all pins associated with that Mission will disappear. There should still be other pins available on the map (either gray, orange, or both). I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you! We know it can be frustrating when this happens. Additionally if you have had a Mission refused for any reason we'd be happy to take a second look at this Mission. To appeal our decision all you have to do is forward us a copy of the email you received with the subject line "Uh Oh... We have a problem". Our validation team will get back to you with the results and an explanation of why it was refused. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions you may have!

Hit and miss

Initially when starting the app, it was worth your my time. Minimum 3.5$ per task. I wouldn’t drive to the store for that but maybe I would take a different route during my errands to do one. If the same task hadn’t been done for 2 weeks or so they would raise it, 550$+ sometimes 700, I def drove to the stores for those, except the past month. All I see is 100, 150, 250. And the random 350 that’s 30miles away. I think mobee is taking more and more of a cut as more ppl flood the app. There’s no way the revenue goes down that much in a few months. You must be selective when doing tasks. Because a lot aren’t worth your time...

Impossible to make Money

You can’t accept a “mission” unless you are at the location, which is very inconvenient and I’ll explain why. I saw a mission right down the street from my house so I decided to give it a try and see how it works. Drove 3 minutes to the location and when I went to accept the mission, it was gone. Frustrated, but wasn’t ready to give up. I saw another mission 12 minutes away and decided to give it another try. Drove as fast as I could all the way to the other location and as I was pulling in, it disappeared. Now, extremely frustrated, I was done. I just wasted my time and gas. Drove all the way home and as I was around the corner from my house, the first mission popped back up. I thought, why not, let’s try one more time. Pulled in and tried to accept the mission. I got an error message and it kept telling me to try again. I sat there for a while retrying and retrying. Tried to restart the app and guess what, the mission was gone. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised. It’s impossible to make any more with this app. I wasted 45 mins of my time and gas driving around for a possible $2.50. Deleting this app and never looking back. Such garbage.

Hi! I'm so sorry you had a bad experience with our app! This may have happened when our Misson's were reaching their Mission cap. Typically Missions will not disappear as quickly unless they are close to their Mission cap. I'm so sorry for any inconvenience! Don’t bother

Initially, I was super excited for this app. Thought it would a great way to earn gift cards in the weekend with my boyfriend. Went to do my first mission and I thought I did pretty good. I answered all of the questions and took the pictures they asked for me to take. Submitted the mission and the next day they said t was approved and I was awarded the points for it. I check my email and they said it was denied due to the placement of the product on the shelf. Not my fault the product was not as the app wanted it to be. So I replied to the message they sent me and a few days later I get a final answer on if the mission will be accepted. They reply with since we reviewed your case and this is your first mission we will make an exception and award you the points for it. Really? If this is how my first mission went. I don’t want to bother with other missions. Deleting the app. Not worth your time honestly it wasted mine.

Hi, Thanks for your review! I'm so sorry you had a bad experience with the app! This sounds like it may have been related to our New Year, New Me! Missions. There were 2 Missions in those sets where the products had to be set up a particular way for the Mission to be approved. Most of our Missions do not have this requirement for the Mission to be approved. Best, Carissa

Fun extra cash

I do missions while I’m already out to pick up a little extra cash in gift cards. If you have the 500 points for the $5 gift card you can literally cash them in, check your email and use the card right away! It is true some missions only pay 150 points ($1.50), but it adds up quickly if you keep an eye out for stuff near you. Yesterday I did 6 missions on the way home (4 of which were posted as I was doing other missions) after giving a friend a ride to work and earned enough money to get a cheese danish at Starbucks and have plenty left over to save towards a gift card to buy Christmas presents. I suggest you treat this app as a little extra cash while you’re out but not something to go spend extra gas on.
Some tips-make sure you read the instructions, finish the mission completely (don’t get distracted with the sales!) before doing anything else-I’ve screwed myself out of missions by looking around the store and someone else scooped in and finished it! Also make use of the question they ask if you had any difficulties-tell them! They want to know and they will take that into consideration when deciding if you did the mission correctly!

MAJOR DISAPOINTMENT

I have a couple of secret shopper like apps which I regularly use. I was excited to find Mobee, at first. I completed a few missions and redeemed about two gift cards. Almost a month ago I completed a mission which I had to travel to. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner and the business was NOT AT ALL what it was supposed to be. They did not have the product in question nor any products at all ( they were a service business) there was nothing to take a picture of however a picture was required. I thoroughly detailed my mission. Despite driving over 35 minutes, and speaking with the owner my mission was rejected. I appealed it of course and waited a week to find out that they were still going to reject the mission. I will be deleting this app and reaching out to those I recommended the app to. There are much better apps available who value your time. I hope potential customers of Mobee read these reviews and think twice.

7 missions pays a year’s iCloud Storage

I only have to complete 7 missions each year to get a $15 iTune gift card. This gift card pays my $1.00 monthly iCloud storage fee for a year. So I’m using a phone app to pay for a phone app.

Unlike other apps, Mobees Missions are always at stores I frequent in my neighborhood. Each mission takes about 15 minutes. And most missions are introducing new (usually healthy) products like Chomp (grass fed beef) Stick Snacks. So basically, Mobees is paying me to learn about new products.

I recommend this app for people who want to use their phones to learn about new products/brands/stores in your neighborhood.

Do not use this app

Mobee is a scam, they will use you do not use !! The company get paid for you evaluation but deny you your payments in points for gift card. In their terms and conditions they have the right to deny your mission and you can't dispute it! The have a system of achievements were they promise you extra points,to avoid you getting those extra points they will deny your mission for no reason and they will set you up on purpose to have your mission denied! And the points are false when you do certain missions you may have to purchase something and the do not reimburse ! Ex you my be required to make $1 purchases for a mission that will pay 350 in points you are really being paid 250 and that is not even a gallon of gas
