  • One of the best educational apps for preschoolers

Hard to believe this app is free because it is absolutely better than many paid apps. We've had it for months and it is still a favorite. Teaches all the school readiness skills (colors, numbers, shapes, counting, handwriting etc.) in such a fun and engaging way, kids don't even realize they are learning. New fresh content is updated regularly and it includes tools to help parents keep track of their child's progress. My 3 year old loves washing Icky and when they added the ability to brush Icky's teeth, he got over his aversion to brushing his own teeth. Well done Agnitus!
  • Couldn't ask for a better app!!

I had purchased "ABCMouse" for several months and tried to get my three year old into it, she just wasn't interested, but she loves learning. I canceled our account and shortly thereafter looked up a free preschool app for her. I came across this app two days ago and I'm more than happy to say that she doesn't want to get off of it! I purchased the upgraded version of Agnitus because she's blazing through the levels so quickly, but no matter how far she gets it continues to challenge her every day! I also added my 7 year old to the app because it teaches up to age 8 and he also enjoys it. Best app I could've purchased for them! Easy for my youngest to navigate, levels become more challenging as she completes them, way too many academics taught to list..HIGHLY recommend! Your kids will love it!
  • Hands down the best

This is hands down the best learning application that my toddler has ever played. Not only is it full of different scenarios to keep their interest, but with almost every scenario teaches something, whether numbers or letters or shapes. The parental controls and reports are also quite excellent, and honestly one could expect to pay 5-10 dollars like this in the App Store, and it would still be a good deal.

I especially like how unlike most Apps, there is no pressure to upgrade, and no buttons the kids can hit to "accidentally" order a sister app, or an upgrade.

Honestly, I don't know how these developers do it, but speaking as a parent, they have a permanent fan for life. I would trust them to crank out another 5 teaching games as awesome as this one and I would gladly pay for each.
  • Great Educational Fun for Toddlers!

My 2-yr-old absolutely adores Agnitus! It took him a couple of months to achieve the required patience level to sit and accomplish tasks in the app, but once he realized what they were saying to him (words of praise) and that he was earning "toys" to play with during free-play after so many tasks completed, there was no stopping him. Agnitus even offers us a report card, letting us know what he's doing well (like discerning different colors or shapes, for example), or when he reaches a new level. The app allows him to choose the games that he's playing, as well. At first, this seemed like a disadvantage because he was quitting games that were frustrating him, but then he would become curious and return to those games on his own and try again. Then the characters would offer encouragement and he'd keep trying until he succeeded!
Another perk is the connection to Icky Bathtime. This app makes bathtime seem fun to kids and shows them the order of bathtime needs (getting dirty, using a sponge, lathering up, rinsing, toweling off) all while incorporating music and avoiding nudity.
I'd say it's one of the greatest educational apps I've come across. My son has more patience, is better at distinguishing shapes and matching numbers and letters, and can find hidden objects.
    Five stars!
  • Very child friendly

This app was highly favored by my 4year old grandson during a week-long shore vacation. He began with very simple activities that seemed way below his level, but he was absorbed in the response and animations. I just checked in to the settings to see the report, and it is amazingly on target AND thorough in skill documentation. I look forward to an increase in the curriculum content. I would recommend this app for casual child use as well as a more structured classroom/teaching setting. I personally would like to be able to control the settings and begin a child at a higher baseline level.
  • This app is wonderful!

I have downloaded many preschool learning apps for my 2 1/2 year old son and while a few of them are good, none of them even comes close to what this one does. Right away he learned how to pronounce a few "new" words that my husband and I have been working with him on, he pushed the sound button over and over while repeating the word again and again until he was able to sound it out :) The matching games are very cute and engaging as wall. I very much recommend this app to anyone who has toddlers to assist with their learning and development. It has been added to our "learning/craft" hour each day! 5 Stars all the way!

  • Great app!

My son absolutely loves this app. Giving Icky a bath is his favorite. Awesome app for waiting rooms or any time you need your child to wait for something. The activities change on their own so there isn't any guessing what your child might want to do next. Also, they change enough to keep the child engaged and interested. My son used to want to bounce from app to app not being able to decide if he wanted to play with shapes or color. This app is perfect for him. He stays on one app and doesn't ask me to change games every 5 seconds! All in all I love this app and I'm so happy I found it.
  • Review from a Teacher

I am a teacher, and I just love this app for my 2 year old! She begs to play it every day and has learned a lot from it! I love the leveling and the parent reports. There are no annoying in app ads. The only thing I wish you could change is that all kids start on the same levels, so my daughter hasn't leveled up into any of the reading skills or even letters and sounds, but she already knows all her letters and sounds. I'm not sure how long she has to play these matching, color, number, and shape games before it will let her unlock letters and sounds. I wish as a parent that I could unlock higher levels sooner if I knew she was ready. Still, she has learned a lot in the other areas. They could easily charge ten to fifteen bucks for this app!
  • Fantastic Learning Tool

I would recommend this app to anyone with small children. It is amazing just looking at the report card of their daily activities and seeing some of the things that they actually know. It really is amazing to be able to check in on what they are doing and seeing the progress. I really and truly would recommend this app. I can't wait for them to expand the learning materials in the different subjects, I would buy this app and all the features if had to. It is so worth the download and time that my children play on it! Love it!
  • A great design for toddlers

it turns out that my daughter enjoys the games so much....we've downloaded the agnitus, jungle shapes & colors..she likes thems so much and the most important thing is that she learns from the games. now she can recognize the shapes which I've been taught her with the cloth books but apparently your games work better with her..haha...even myself enjoy the games as well, the simple, straightforward design (some other games spend too much time on explaining how to play, and too complicated, my daughter will get impatient), and enough repititions allows my daughter to review on different shapes and animals...I have to say they are just what kids around my daughter's age need [:)]

btw, the animations are so cute^^
