Reps and Sets User Reviews

The Best One!

I've tried a lot of lifting apps and this one is the best overall! Everything you need, nothing you don't. The developers are constantly making a good app better and actually listen when you make suggestions. When I was looking for an app for journaling workouts, it is surprising how many bad / hard to use apps are out there. Well this isn't one of those. It is intuitive and informative without being bloated.

Great app for lifting

Great, down-to-business, no frills app. None of the features are unnecessary and all of which are useful for tracking your progress. Enjoyable, clean interface. Useful rest timer.

But it (for the supersets alone!)

This is one of the few apps that properly handle supersets and pairing exercises.

The "TLC" that was put into this is clear- from the illustrations to even small touches like saving the rep count & weight when adding additional sets.

There's an astonishing level of attention to detail and other developers would do well to emulate their hard work.

Simply the Best...

I have tried MANY workout ๏ธapps and this one is amongst the top three on my list. The fact it is not a FREEMIUM type app with stupid subscription fees makes it NUMBER ONE!

This app is fantastic, intuitive interface; easy to customize; ability to add you own unique exercise routine; great visual weight logging; and the feature list goes on ... You simply need to try it for a week and you will be a believer.

Finally, everything I need minus the bloat

I was doing the StrongLifts 5x5 program for awhile and using their awesome app. Now I decided to switch up my program, but obviously the 5x5 program can only do one type of workout.

I tried JEFit and Bodyspace and a bunch of others and they are all filled with bloat and ads and terrible user interface.

This app does everything you need and it's very clean user experience. I really hope they add in the ability to mark a missed rep or failed set and the ability to setup progressive overload rules or deload rules. That would make it PERFECT.

But I'm not complaining.. having to manage my own progressive overload isn't a big deal.. but I think a lot of users would pay for an in-app upgrade to unlock something like that.

Amazing

By far the best workout logger that I have ever used!

Good, but could be great

Iโ€™ve used Reps & Sets for about six months now, and I love all of itโ€™s features. Itโ€™s clean, quick and it isnโ€™t bogged down by overcomplicating things.

As far as features, I would love the following features were added:

1: The ability to write notes about exercises. I occasionally will modify certain exercises, and I would like to be reminded via a small text note the next time I do that exercise.

2: Choosing weight with dumbbells can be confusing. Itโ€™s not clear whether itโ€™s per arm, or total weight. It would be nice if this was noted.

3: Myfitnesspal integration

4: Cloud-based sharing, so I could see my workouts on different devices.

Easily the best out there.

I've tried many workout apps and this one trumps. Has everything you'll ever need (even supersets). It's incredibly detailed but a breeze to use. Don't think just buy it. It's a crime this isn't more popular. Devs seem great as well.

Doesn't save workout programs correctly.

I make very simple workout programs. Like 3 exercises each program with 3 sets a piece. When I go back to the program later, it has changed. In one specific instance, it replaced the other two exercises in the program with chin ups, which was the third. I didn't dislike the app, but because of this glitch it is unusable for me. Maybe it happens when I update the program after a workout. Also, the app maker needs to clean up some of the exercises. There are duplicates.

Unbelievably versatile

I've never written a review before but I'm doing it now because this app is THAT good. I was previously using the very popular "Full Fitness" app and I was frustrated with its limitations. This app lets you track drop sets, supersets, custom exercises, etc, etc. VERY easy to use too. It's the best gym app I've ever used. It might not be ideal for girly body weight tabatas, but anyone lifting weights should SERIOUSLY consider getting this incredible app!
