I LOVE to pay for UNLIMITED
It doesn't just allow you to listen ad-free (as compared to non-Prime free version), but to make playlists, download songs to save phone data, get lossless compressed (up to 320 kbps), double the library, and anything else an "audiophile" who wants to listen to music would love for which to pay. However, if you're used to radio, the free version and the version free with Prime progressively beat more out of what your dial will let you do, with better sound...
With several Echos, including all my FireTVs and two tablets, I don't use this app half as much as I should, and I should start getting into the habit, especially having Unlimited. They've got an INCREDIBLE SELECTION OF SONGS, but, minus my dot, I forget to just flip it on, with my tablet and an external speaker, or using my FireTV and home stereos. I haven't upgraded in forever, because I always wait to see if I HAVE TO and/or if newer versions get good reviews. Looks like I'm glad I've been waiting, from reading the other reviews...

One of the worst streaming
I have to keep checking & updating the app , refreshing the app, turning on and off or clearing cache at least once a week. Why is it so? Why my songs not organised the way I want? I keep reorganising and it keeps going back to previous setting. Why do I have problems with playing next song in my playlist. I have done and tried all possible and suggested steps. Should have stayed with Apple Music. The settings on Apple Music stay the same as I last changed and streamed exactly the same setting across my devices: iPhone, MacBook Pro and iMac. Bought a Samsung, and Androids are not as I think it should be, people swear their the best. I have been using Apple products for 18 years and not a single time I need to fix or run maintenance.

Can’t dislike songs and the app keeps crashing
This app used to be really good, however it never worked for me on my phone so I had to use it on my iPad instead.
Sometimes it randomly stops playing my music. That didn’t massively bother me much and I would just resume it.
However, recently it has stopped allowing me to remove songs from my liked playlist. I am able to remove songs from any playlists I have made perfectly fine, however I can’t remove songs from the preset ‘My Likes’ playlist. Whenever I dislike a song that I did previously have liked and refresh the page it readds it to my liked.
I have tried Googling how to remove it but all it says is to click the three dots and select ‘Remove from playlist’. The ‘remove from playlist’ button is only available in playlists that you have created yourself, so it doesn’t work for my likes playlist. I have spent several hours trying to remove a song I no longer like and it is still stuck in my playlist.
Other than the fact that you can’t remove songs from the preset ‘My Likes’ playlist, it is a fairly good app to use when listening to my favourite songs.

Playlist difficult but streaming HQ tunes
The title says it all. Creating your own playlists is not easy… as they push curated music at you. The app would benefit from the ability to select multiple songs from genres, albums or other playlists to add to a playlist.
The range of music is extensive and a lot is CD quality up to 192kHz 24 bit with dolby atmos capability which allows surround sound. BUT THAT is only available on devices capable of playing surround sound. The app doesn’t have the capability. I use the FireTV device through a receiver and it works fine. The FireTV interface isn’t designed for selecting and playing music from a variety of different locations like albums or playlists so i build a list on the app and wait for it to appear on the FireTV to play.

App keeps getting automatically closed
Unsure if this happens for any other iPhone user, but the app is automatically getting closed when a station is being played. App is always up to date but it’s so frustrating that the app is crashing too frequently for the last few weeks.
Have enough space on my phone and am on latest update of iOS so I don’t think it’s a problem with my phone.

Only half works
The app is great so long as yours connected to the internet. Despite being able to download your music or podcasts, you can’t get to them unless the app has internet.
You need to make this app open a stand alone app the only looks for internet to download something or stream something.
I’m often in no cell service areas but I can use the app at all until I get internet.

Repeat Option on all songs
There was an option “with a half way circle” to Repeat a song 1, 2 or 3 times. It is no longer there and I have to continually repeat the song manually, which is a nuisance because when I am cooking, I would have to continuously wash my hand then repeat the song. Is there anyway you can return the repeat option to your loyal customers??

App stopped playing music, also needs many fixes
(Comments apply to the desktop app for Mac/iOS) If you get your category tagging right and the app can consistently bring the user to the spot where they were before visiting an album page where the individual songs are located, you will have a world class app. Concerning the tagging, it is a total mess. If you have hundreds of albums there is no way to view the albums that reside within a specific genre. Also the assigning of albums to categories is almost arbitrary, not to mention there are sometimes multiple sub-categories that divide up a larger category. Concerning this latter, I am not opposed to this, but both the containing category and it’s component piece sub-categories have to make sense and applied completely throughout that genre and sub-genres. A very good example of the tagging problem is soundtracks. Even if we are only talking about the Soundtrack super category, only a minute fraction of the multiple hundreds of soundtracks that reside within “My Music” show up when I click the “Soundtracks” link on the app.
The new wrinkle with this is that app on the desktop has just stopped playing music. I will need to debug this with hopes that it can be fixed.

What’s to like
Aside from the way the song selection is done or how it plays random songs during the playlist, the app is horrible. Sometimes it will get stuck on one song and you have to close the app and come back in (choosing a different playlist doesn’t matter). Or it will stop playing for no reason and you have to hit play again. Then there’s the hour or so time limit to ask you if you’d like to continue. You can’t continue from your watch or from the Lock Screen on the phone. You have to go into the app and press play. The timer even includes if you are on a call.
If you have more than 50 songs in the playlist, it will only play the same 10-15 songs and then start randomly playing other songs. Although the random isn’t really random, either of your playlist or of songs outside the playlist. When it starts to play the random songs outside the playlist, 9/10 it will start with the same song. If it isn’t that one, it is usually it starts with the second song and then it will play the first one. Beyond that, I don’t know because I never get past the one or two random songs it chooses. I just change to one of my other playlists.
The music is free with Prime within the limits, but it is a chore for sure. I doubt paying $10/mo for Unlimited would change the behavior of the app, but I’m not willing to try. I could buy lots of songs over time for $10/mo, which I need to make time for and just play songs that I own and can control.

Very buggy, good potential
The app will sign you out in the middle of a song, constantly loses Bluetooth connection while driving, songs just randomly pause all the time and when you push play it continues, then it gets stuck in a loop and plays the same song over and over. Also constantly asks me to connect to wifi to play offline music even though I'm not offline.
Aside from that the music selection is broad, the app lacks things like user added customised playlists but also feels cleaner without them, my favourite thing is no ads. Skips are limited due to just a prime membership only and not Unlimited Music but the shuffle is usually fairly decent.
