  • Can't connect to Qgenie

After the upgrade, I cannot connect with my QGENIE. Pls fix.
  • More dashboard than manager

Nice interface but this is more like a dashboard than a manager. Manager means that you take actions on the qnap and this is hardely the case, or sure you can delete some item here and there but you cannot completely manage a Qnap with it. You still need the web interface to do it.

For example, the download station shows you a status of all the jobs but you cannot add a download task. There's BT search available but what if all you want is to download from a know url... it would be nIce to be able to insert a new dowload task remotely.

  • Latest version broken on IOS 6

Latest version broken it will not show when opened but does show as a background app
  • it works.

its buggy. i tried to add a user privilege using the app onto my qnap and everytime i tapped the field, the keyboard would appear and dissappear unless i typed instantly and without pause.
also the torrent manager is very poor. the search does not save if you leave the page. it does not allow for any blocklist to be added or vpn to mask your ip. you cannot throttle your uploads either so it takes the entirety of your bandwidth. no tabs for sorting seeds or by date. can be frustrating.

  • Great App

Very useful for checking the status of lots of areas of your Qnap NAS drive.

I recently updated the software on my NAS drive and this has caused the Qmanager app to display 4 fans in my unit which is incorrect it is just 2. A fix for this would be good.

It would also be good if you could add specific ip addresses to the block list rather than having to login to the NAS drive via a web browser.

  • Excellent tool, exceeded my expectations

Very powerful, well laid out tool. Gives you access to almost every feature on the NAS (can't think of any important one missing), full monitoring, event logs, landscape mode, you name it! Haven't had crashes so far and loading times seem reasonable (iPhone 5 and a 2011 659 Pro+).

Well done QNAP on a well executed app!

  • Great app!

    Great app!
  • Great app with one flaw

Great app, let's me manage my NAS without logging on to a PC. Wish the process monitor was sortable by column heading though, it would make looking for process and memory hogs easier.
  • Hard to find the basics

What they really need to do is give you easier access to the basics. Reboot button is hard to find. They only list the machines IP address on your local network. Would be nice if it had external ip info such as subnet mask, Internet ip and etc for those of us that are on a dynamic ip internet connection.

Good parts of app. Love being able to turn on and off services such as ftp and ssh thru the app. Really helps keep the qnap locked down and secure. Resource monitor also great, just wish they had a reboot button on the page.

  • Management a snap

The interface for this is designed to give quick information about your base device functions, which is all I use it for anyways. Requires a connection to the Qnap's network, so connect locally or set up a VPN!
