Same old slow and laggy app that crashes often even on an iPad Pro
The only reason I use this app is because its the only app that is authorized for my airline. I hate this app so much, it lags on an iPad Pro, try to zoom in and scroll, it's not smooth at all and the app freezes and maybe 10 seconds later the app zooms in, and 5 seconds later it scrolls. Important info is still stuck behind the pen and rotation button in the lower right corner and you can't zoom or scroll the info off that button to see what is covered up. To get around this I just print all the charts onto paper and carry the paper around. Just so i can get to the information hidden under the lower right buttons and so I don't have to use this useless app.Show lessSteve 3456
Writing on plates
Would be much better if we could control the thickness of our notes when we write on approach plates. As it currently is, when adding any notes the thickness is unreadableM.cfi
Need improvement
Many Jepp. charts need to be reformatted for the digital age. Some charts are formatted for horizontal viewing but the frequency are viewed in the vertical view. Oops don't forget that speed restriction hidden in corner of the chart in the vertical view. Please increase the call sign fonts area..... too smallShow lessMichelle Dockins
Bad
This app crashes and slows to a crawl on my iPad Air so often it is ridiculous. You should be ashamed to put this product out. Please fix this disaster ASAP.
Also, the method for sorting saved flight plans is faulty. Every time I search for a particular flight plan I have to select sort by name. Even then, it only sorts by the departure airport, not by departure airport and destination airport.Show lessRKFeland

I have been using FD Pro for a few years. It is a very good App but this is the second time that an upgrade makes the App unusable.
ALL FIXED AGAIN AFTER A WEEK!

Could be better
Pretty good app and better than carrying a bunch of heavy charts.
Would like to see the saved flights actually sort by name. Function indicates that it's there but never actually sorts the flight by it even when selected.

Good tool, but
It's a great product, very useful, has lots of fine details, shows the information you need and it's very versatile. I don't know why they call it Pro when it lacks features found in the Mobile FD versión, like ownship on approach and TMA charts. Support guys said such feature would be available very soon, but almost 7 months from that and still waiting. Other than that I'm happy using it.Show lessAlex Knight
One good thing, and one good thing only
The only advantage to this pretty lame app is not having to carry the paper charts around, otherwise, extremely laggy, takes forever to switch from one plate to another, no basic features which would be useful. Overall, it gets away with it because I guess is the only or one of the few approved apps. The industry standard is slipping
For years, professional pilots have raved about Jepp being so much better than government charts, and they did generally make a better product. However, this app seems incapable in keeping up with technology.
Obviously, this version has the ios8 problem. Why hasn't the alleged industry leader for these products addressed the issue yet. It's not like these subscriptions are cheap! They're actually insanely expensive considering how much lower the production costs should be compared to the army of workers, trucks and paper are to do airline shipsets.
Additionally, the enroute function is so finicky and inefficient for building departure procedures into your flight plan.
Here's hoping my company switches to another vendor to send Jepp a message: you've officially rested on your laurels too long, and now the industry is passing you by.Show lessCaptain Steve
This app is junk!
The only get this app is if your company makes you even then gripe to them about it. The charts are good standard Jeppesen. But that dose not out way the sub par nature of the app. I is missing lots of features that are standard on other apps. I use Jeppesen at work in a EMB 145 and use forflight for home in my private airplane and forflight is much better. The carts are NOS but that is of no consequence because of the quality of the app. If you have the choice DO NOT GET THIS APP, bye forflight.Show lessEMB Pilot 12345
