  • Pretty Terrible

First off. Forget that the other companies out there such as Foreflight are putting out a more comprehensive package, for what Flight Deck pro offers, this program does even that poorly. For example, when viewing plates, you are unable to remove all the on screen gadgets such as the pen. This often gets in the way of simply viewing some items on the plate. You have to zoom in on the plate, move it over in zoomed mode to be able to see this information. Let us simply view a plate as if it were a piece of paper in our lap. Give is a way to remove the on screen buttons. In addition, improve the enroute charts. Very choppy and antiquated images.

  • Will do in a pinch. Otherwise crap.

Refuses to update properly. Will NOT work with iOS 8. Rendered the program 100% useless now since I can not take iOS 8 off of my iPad. So now I have nothing until they issue a fix. A name like Jepp, one would think they would put out a good product. They are no Garmin!
  • Doesn't work

Cannot get anything to work inside the app. When I try and type in a route, the keyboard pops up, then quickly disappears before I can do anything. Happens with any other button I tap.

Would be nice if Jeppesen put an option under every airport that allows for taking notes. There is nowhere in the app to take notes on airports. Not good for 121 that's paperless.

  • DO NOT UPDATE!!

Don't take this update, app won't work. Wait until they fix it. After update there is a new chart update page, the enroute chart information on Jeppesens server is not complete, the new chart update page cannot be closed if the charts aren't current. You will get a grey screen that says data is not current. There is also error 133 "enroute cultural terrain data not on server". This update ruined the app for now. Unusable.

  • Useful, but problematic.

I definitely prefer this to paper. The enroute charts are much easier to get to than a folio of paper charts. It can be hard sometimes to find the gris MORAs and airway radials. Search function is great. The most annoying problem is the update function. I really can't believe this has been fixed yet. The update page tells you when new manuals come out, but almost invariably the app will not recognize the update is required. Close, reopen, the update number flashes on and disappears. Therefore it will not update until 6-12 hours later.

  • Almost like JeppFD

I've been using JeppFD for almost 3 years and finally my company has subscribed to Electronic Jepps, thus I also have JeppFD Pro. It looks almost the same except with the Pro version, there is no enroute weather. Jepp has made excellent advances to these programs and other than the cost of a personal subscription, it's really an asset. Especially when flying with low time co-pilots.

  • Please change interface to the mobile FD layout

Jepp has yet again updated the interface of their main commercial application: Jepp Mobile Flight Deck and they left this app out in the cold.

Page favorites, page flip, center frequencies on enroute, WX options on enroute (NEXRAD, turn, icing, surface pbs, winds, etc) not available in this package. But the non "pro" version has all this stuff.

Things like switch to taxi on landing is an awesome feature too. Just not available in pro.

    Get with it Jepp.

  • Where is the page flip?

Some of the new features are ok, like night mode, and total route mileage. But the update lost the ability to flip pages and select favorites. It's very cumbersome now. Most folks I know want to go bact to the older version. Also the enroute chart notes are missing and the ATC frequencies don't match current paper charts. CPDLC Logon info is hit or miss. Finding procedural information in the manuals is quite difficult. Not intuitive at all.

  • captain

Hi the added features are nice and helpful but it would be nice to select a few charts as favorites as then thumb scroll from the selected one without having to go back under the taxi/app/sid/star headers... that would be a quick time savor... thank you
  • No Center Freqs on enroute charts

A few weeks ago I flew into Mexico. The center controller never gave me a handoff and we needed to descend, but we were out of the controller's range. I was still using paper Jepps at the time and found the proper frequency for my sector. The iPad Jepp version makes it very hard to find a center frequency and you don't even know what frequencies go with which sector. This could become a safety issue if not resolved.
