Faulty app
I love John Piper & I've been a long time supporter of Desiring God. I've had this app on my iPhone for several years & have never had any problems with it until the app was updated. I updated app that automatically downloaded on my iPhone in the fall 2016 has been a disaster. It crashes every single time I open it & I read the daily devotionals, listen to messages, etc. I've experienced the same issues with the app on my iPad Air. I've missed having access to the app but I finally had no choice but to delete in January 2017. Please make the appropriate changes, fix the bugs & provide a clean, restored updated app. I miss the app before it was updated. I'll read the daily devotional & access previously recorded sermons via the ministry website until further notice. Thank you!Show lessjmdwag

I have been reading the devotions in this little app every day since it came out in 2012. It's hard to imagine starting a day without it.
The Joys are Solid. The content is solid food for the soul. Each day contains a bit of Scripture, and a few minutes worth of reading from one of John Piper's books or sermons or articles. High octane, rich food for your walk with God.

Spiritual Journey
While going through my own journey and working on my relationship with God this app has been such a gift! It almost like it seems everyday's devotional was meant for me! It's been so encouraging and helpful. I easily read it everyday and look forward to the next one. It takes some self control to not look forward because I don't want to lose that feeling of happiness I get every time. I enjoy having the link to the sermon available as well and try to read them as often as possible. This app is a blessing for make the word of God so accessible!!!Show lessSdancerb629
Adoration
I'm a mom of 6 (11 and younger) and these inspiring devotions from John Pipers books are so intentional and thoughtful. Not whimsy and unrealistic about topics that are cultural - but real core topics that hit me daily with grace and mercy. I love them. Sincerely, I encourage anyone to download this app, turn the notifications on- pray daily for God's revelation- and let Him move through your life... while journeying through these daily reads. Kind of addicting
I download this app a few months ago for my phone and used a few times. Then I downloaded it to a new iPad and have been using it every day first thing in the morning. What an excellent way to read the Word. It gives a single verse then expands on it through an explanation that even I can understand. The only thing I would add is to be able to link to the Bible app so that I could be able to read more of the chapter but that isn't a big deal. Great messages!
I downloaded this app at the beginning of this year, hoping to come closer to Christ in my daily devotional. Within a week, I had my husband download it as well so that we could share and discuss the amazing messages. They are very relevant and well written. Each message begins with a scripture, then proceeds to explain and give more in depth insights into that particular scripture. Many days, I have found myself reading and rereading the message for that day.
