I got the "white screen of death" too. But their helpful support person provided a solution:
Uninstall the app.
Quit all other apps.
Reboot the phone - three times (yes, insane)
Download the app again.
Open it again.
This solved it for me and it now works great. Support indicated apple provides no way for vendors to respond to complaints, but hopefully this will let you know it is not a "dead app".

Great while I lasted...
I was in love with this app for the first week then it stopped working. A completely white screen appears every time I open it. I've got the pro version too which was not cheap! I've deleted the app and re-downloaded it a bunch of times and rebooted my phone. No luck yet. Boo!
No longer opens?
Nothing like paying for a pro version a few months back and now being unable to get the app to work. App technically opens up to land you on a blank / white page.
Great idea, but a solid reminder of what happens when a Dev no longer supports their product or requires online access in order to work.

Incredibly useful
I hope the developer did not abandon this app. It's an incredibly portable and powerful way for a filmmaker or director of photography to work out scene ideas. It helps amateur filmmakers take their craft to the next level. Sometimes spontaneity is the right way to go, sometimes careful planning, especially of something more complex than "selfie" videos, is the right way to go. Shot Designer is an invaluable tool for the latter. Thumbs up all the way. (BTW, the tutorial videos are all there, lower down on the page.)

Not supported any more?
This is a wonderful app if you are using iPhones and cameras from 5 years ago.
As far as I can tell now the app isn't really getting support outside of software updates and glitches. The field of views on the camera are basic and don't include a way to switch between sensor sizes on any modern camera, the aspect ratios are limited, and the last version of the phone in their list to match field of view is the iPhone 5S. Other than that it's a great diagraming app.

Mediocre
Was very disappointed to find that you have to upgrade to Pro to simply save a file. The app is a bit confusing as the finger actions to carry out functions are very specific. I can see how it could be useful for planning shots, but for now I will stick to pen and paper to draw things out by hand.
