I have used this company for many years. However, due to a program error, I booked and paid for a car on October 11 instead of October 13. Without checking the date, I completed the payment.
A minute later, I noticed the mistake and contacted support, who said they couldn’t do anything because there were less than 48 hours left. Why? What is the problem with simply moving the reservation? I am not canceling it; I am asking the company to be customer-oriented and just reschedule it two days later. If necessary, I would have paid extra. However, the manager just kicked me out of the chat, saying he couldn’t do anything. No support whatsoever!
I will never use this company again until you learn how to operate properly. You just took all the money with a 100% cancellation penalty. I am a customer; I pay money and expect the company to meet me halfway. What kind of service is this? Just throwing a paying customer who spends thousands of euros a year out of the chat!

Horrendous service and overpriced hire
After hiring a car, from the Rentalcars they had made a clerical error and didn’t let the hire company know I had payed for the hire already, so they changed me again. Initial hire was £164 for 6 days when the hire company charged me £134. So instead of finding the best deal the surcharge to use their services makes it cheaper to go though the hire company directly. This issue has taken months to sort, due to data protection any issues can’t be resolved by rentalcars contacting the hire company and no over the phone complaints procedures, meaning you have to spend loads of time emailing the complaints team.
I used the loads years ago but service has changed since then, never again.

Duped in Dublin
We hired what was supposed to be a manual hybrid vehicle, I even double checked with customer support that this was what we were hiring but when we finally got to the Budget Rental desk, after about a 90 minute wait, we were told they don’t have such a vehicle but we could pay €350 more for an automatic hybrid. Not impressed by either company.

The airport I have to pick up the car was closed because they have aircraft accident . My fly land on the closer airport and I call the counter on the reservation city, they say they will close in one hour. But , they would give to me the car on the city I was if RENTALCARS.COM move the reservation to the location I was . I call RENTALCARS.COM to move the reservation and after 5 hours back and forth they just want to take my money. FINALLY THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND MY TIME … I will rent DIRECTLY with no SCAM intermediary

Worst third party car rental service
This is the worst third party car rental to book with. Car company would not release car that was booked because of uncovered fees that the app did not show. Tried calling company while problem was happening (closer to midnight), but unsuccessful in reaching someone without going through so much of their automatic customer service. Priority was trying to get another last minute car rental at the airport and figured to call the next day (had 3 other adults and 3 children to worry about). Next day the call consisted of a lot of back and forth with customer service and a long process of filling out a claim just for them to deny it. Not only did I lose the deposit of the booking for whatever reason, but I had to spend triple amount of money at the airport for another car rental. NEVER AGAIN!

So easy to order
The site is so easy to use. You get a lot better price compared to the rental company site and there insurance is a god send. I would highly recommend this site.
Terrible service ALL the way around
First I was forced to download the app or they wouldn’t show me my reservation number to give to the car rental company.
Then I show up to the agency one hour late (after calling to tell them I would be late), and they don’t have any cars left to rent!! I waited two more hours with my two children 4 and 7 and finally they get a car to us. Other customers in the lobby, who were in similar situations, were either told to travel to the next rental location, or to kick rocks.
I’ll never use this company again. ZERO stars if I could rate it less than 1.

I will NEVER use this app again.
I’ve used this app twice. The first time I paid for the $0 damage waiver only to be told that I’d paid for the apps damage waiver and I’d still need to pay $5000 to the car rental company for any damage and then claim that off the app company because they’re a 3rd party.
The second time I tried to book with two booster seats and the rental company said it wasn’t on their booking. So no seats. I had to go and book on the spot with another company. Car Rentals were going to charge 100% of the booking as a cancellation fee. I ended up waiting for the car rental company to find two seats so we could continue with the booking.
Bad 3rd party app experience both times.

Attention SCAM: Hidden cost- do not use this app or website
They price published on this website are not real. You will only know the final price when you go to the agency to get the car, so there is no way you will get a refund.
I rented a car in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, at 100USD via the application and it finally cost me 300USD. I presented all the documentation requested by this website but they still charged me for an additional insurance that cost 2 times the cost of the rental.
How come this cost was not included in the price showed in the application?
I cannot believe that there is people that do that and can sleep at night. I am lucky because my brother lend me the difference so as I do not have to cancel my trip (including hotel reservations) but what about if I did not have the money to cover the HIDDEN cost of the insurance?
