Get a fine if you use EasyPark
So I tried out the “camera park” option. I added my central car to the app and drove into a OnePark car park.
The thing about OnePark is that you can pay for parking with EasyPark. Sure enough my first parking session was billed and receipted - but 1 day late. So I thought “great, this works!”
But the 2nd 3rd and 4th times didn’t work. As a result when I found out three days later through OnePark ‘s own autopay websites my car was accumulating unpaid bills. After 48 hours you are considered to be in default.
So I’m waiting for my first default notice invoice.
When I complained to EasyPark they told me that I had to manually activate camera parking each time I parked at a camera car park. There’s no mention of this on their app. I assumed that so long as camera parking exists and you can pay with EasyPark then you’re good. I was wrong.
Oneparks camera system is not the same. But it is a better system. It sends an instant receipt when you leave the car park.
So - avoid EasyPark. It’s difficult.
