Description of DOT Billetter

DOT Tickets app is developed and owned by Din Offentlige Transport (DOT). DOT is a partnership between the traffic companies DSB, Movia and Metroselskabet to help create a better and more cohesive public transport system on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn. DOT Tickets app makes it easy to buy tickets and monthly passes for journeys on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn. You can purchase tickets by entering your place of departure and arrival, either in the form of a stop, address, or place. You can also pick the zones you wish to travel from and to on the map. The 2-8 zones fast purchase is relevant for you, if you know how many zones you need from where you are. You can use that feature, if you give the app your permission to localization (GPS) so that the app can determine your start zone. Giving your permission to localization, which is voluntary, can also help you determine your location on the map versus your ticket's validity area. Monthly passes can be purchased by entering your place of departure and arrival. You can also pick the zones manually on the map if you travel between 2 and 8 zones. You can purchase these tickets in DOT Tickets app: • Zone tickets for 2-8 zones • Tickets for 9+ zones between a departure and arrival zone • Commuter cards with Metro and DSB 1’ Regional Train as an optional add-on • Commute20 with Metro and DSB 1’ Regional Train as an optional add-on • Bicycle Metro • Supplementary Ticket for Commuter Card (1 zone) • DSB 1’ Regional Train supplementary ticket • City Pass Small for zones 1-4 (24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours) • City Pass Large for zones 1-99 (24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours) • City Pass X-Large for zones 1-299 (24 hours) • City Pass West for zones 101-199 (24 hours) • City Pass South for zones 201-299 (24 hours) • Event ticket Small for zones 1-4 (12 hours) and Event ticket Large for zones 1-99 (12 hours), available for limited periods in connection with events • 12-hour ticket East, West and South for free traveling on Saturdays and Sundays for a limited period (December 2023 – February 2024) These monthly passes can be purchased in other sales channels, but are displayed in DOT Tickets app: • Youth Card • Employee Travel Pass • Company travel Pass Payment in DOT Tickets app You can pay with MobilePay or payment cards in DOT Tickets app. You can save your payment card details and access them via Touch ID, Face ID or a PIN code of your choice. In that way, you do not have to enter all card details every time you make a purchase. Your payment card details are stored with Billwerk+. The following payment cards are accepted: • Visa/Dankort • MasterCard • Visa • Visa Electron • Maestro NOTE: Remember to buy your ticket before you start your journey. Departure boards You can create personal departure boards for your preferred transportation for all stations and stops on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn filtered by the lines you want to follow. On your departure board, you can see if there are delays or cancellations . When you create a departure board, you can get notifications about planned changes and you can add the board as a widget on your smartphone's home screen, so you always have it close at hand. • Great Customer Service

I messed up on my purchase. I called the number on the app and a rep was able to cancel my purchase so I could try again. And in English.
  • Does not accept US Visa card, only Mastercard

It was a little hard to figure out, but I finally figured out how to enter my US phone number. But the US Visa credit card was rejected in the payment stage. Of course that page was written in danish, but I figured it out. Try MasterCard! It works.
  • Does not support USA credit cards

What is the point of marketing things like the City Pass to tourists if the app does not accept foreign credit cards? Tried with my Visa card that I’ve been using my entire time in Copenhagen but app would not accept it.
