Great Idea but..........
Great idea but.........it doesn't work, connects to camera for 10 to 15 seconds then says blackvue is not available, the iphone still shows it's connected to the blackvue wifi but the apps thinks not, I have the dr650 and have tried with iPhone 5, 6, iPad. Have manage to download 1 x 2 minute video to internal on the app but it took over 30 mins to transfer
A native iPad version would be great as well

Camera it self is really good and I am pleased with this although very disappointed that the website says compatible with the app but this app does not support this model. Please update.lommo
Almost there
A great concept for accessing your videos on the road, however it does take a long time to download (5-10min for a 2min clip) obviously 1080p video is going to be a large file size. But I do believe it is a Wireless N chip in my model.
Also it would be great to export to camera roll for other options of sharing rather than just YouTube.Show lessHb490

The unit itself seems well built, the app for iPhone doesn't work cannot change language from some Asian language you have to take sd card out of the unit put into your computer and somehow download firmware to get it to work properly, and then issues with switching your phone onto Wi-Fi while you're on the road unable to get any messaging or emails , too difficult for me, deleting the app, bringing unit back,Show lesstacnail
Uploading videos
Allow this app to upload videos to Facebook or twitter would make it a lot better.
Is this going to be done as it will not allow me to even upload to you tube.Anunny
Getting there
Not bad. App does often crash when saving firmware settings and firmware upgrade drop down does not list my model (DR500GW-HD) but overall it works well. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the crashes.Eva Rourge

PLEASE FIX the app!!!!
My phone connects to the wifi, but then tells me there isn't a camera. The whole reason why I went with Blackvue (I bought three of them) was for the wifi function and if that doesn't work I'm going to have to return the camera and get a different brand. Please fix the software!

Good app
Good app for iPhone, however I would like to see a native iPad version that is easy to use in landscape mode.Jeff Singleton
