Function over form
Well, it mostly does what it should do. It'll connect to the camera and show a live stream, you can view and download videos with a picture in picture of your GPS location, and you can change most camera settings without needing to put the SD Card into a computer.
However the design is a confusing mess. It resembles something written for Windows 95 rather than a modern smartphone app. If you try to update the camera firmware via the app, the only language available is Korean. This is a handy companion app for roadside viewing, but not a replacement for removing the SD Card and using the desktop app to manage files, settings or firmware.Show lessViolentplant

I'm waiting for the Over The Air English Firmware update for the DR550GW-2CH.
You only have Korean.
Half the world speaks English and yet you didn't launch with English.
It's annoying me that it has taken so long to get an English version out and yet I'm still waiting for it!
Also you can not download the video to the camera roll yet, and you can't rotate video on the app whilst streaming.

App is a complete trash. Don't really understand how Apple let this in.

Video non-playing & other ui issues with iOS 8.1 and iPhone 6. Downloading video via wifi is super slow. Finding video is not really convenient. The app must be much better to accomplish the awesome dash-cam hardware.asidDEN

Need direct access to save videos from the internal to camera roll.
