  • 1 notification that won’t clear

This app satisfies its intended purpose… providing sustenance to those in need (and who remember to write down their password, which I did).
The one thing I can’t stand is the one notification that will not clear no matter what. What am I forgetting? What am I not seeing? What are you trying to make me see??
Make it more obvious pls… 🥲

  • Clunky at best

I find this app one of the most clunky I have ever used. I have two children at different schools using this app for their canteen orders etc, however, as you cannot set their schools to the child, one school gets bumped off the frequently used list and because one of the schools isn’t in the vicinity of where we live, I have to search for the school by typing in the full the name of the school.

It doesn’t have predictive text and if you type a word incorrect it won’t find it, and one of the schools often won’t come up.

Please figure this out, it would save a lot of time, if flexischools can do it surely Qkr! Can…

  • Not good.

Unfortunately it seems to be the only way to order my kids uniform. It refused to remember my password so I had to reset it and there’s no other payment option besides physical card details. And it’s claiming the card numbers entered are incorrect. They definitely aren’t. Hopefully I don’t have to use this app for other school payments. I’ll be seeking if direct payment to the school is possible and deleting this trash app.

  • Let users save “favourite” schools

Per many other comments - the app should allow users to save their most commonly used school(s) rather than use their location to list all nearby schools.

Most users are likely only interested in the schools their kids are at and do not need to see a list of all nearby schools each time they use the app. Many people prefer not to give apps access to their location.

  • Locked out failed password

If I happen to put my password in wrong once the whole thing locks me out for 30 minutes and says I have too many failed attempts when In fact it was only once. After I wait the 30 minutes and go back in to order I don’t even get to attempt the password and click on checkout and it says the same thing again and locks me out for another 30 minutes. Very frustrating when you can’t order your child’s lunch

  • Good in concept but needs improvements

Qkr! bills itself as time and cost savings for both schools and parents.

One major failing in the product is that it has a profile per child but doesn’t differentiate billing requirements per child.

It lists all school required payments whether I have to make that payment on behalf of my child or not.

Also it doesn’t mark off or remove paid items.

Both of these issues results in either incorrect, double or non payment of invoices which leads to more work and frustration on behalf of the school and parents as refunds or overdue notices need to be processed. Kind of the antithesis of the app concept in the first place.

  • Frustrating at best

Busy families getting kids ready for school and organising lunches in the morning rush need simple and quick solutions. This is not it.
The Face ID for the app rarely works and it does not remember your password. Furthermore it locks you out of your account for 30 minutes after ONE password attempt. The password is not saved with the name QKR in your keychain so is impossible to find. Save yourself the stress and give your kids a packed lunch or give them some money to spend at the canteen. Mornings are busy enough without dealing with this.

  • Great app, but only two genders

This is a fantastic app! It’s great and stops me from waiting in long queues before school to order from our tuck shop. The only problem is that there are only two genders and the profile page. This is bad for non-binary people because they can’t choose non-binary as their gender on the app. A simple “non-binary” button or “other” button on the gender select screen would fix this issue.

  • Poor security

With today’s technology you would think this app would connect directly with Apple Pay. There is also no app sign in security nor Face ID when actually making a purchase. It also does not link directly to your specific child/children(all manual entry) or school (just gives options utilising location services of schools around you). This is a huge security breach especially when dealing with card payments. Means that anyone who may access my phone could spend up big without my consent for a child and school not even mine. Have deleted my card details and will not be storing them within this app.

  • Choose favourites

This would be great if you could pick favourite schools, for those of us that have children in different schools in different areas, it’s annoying having to search each morning.
Also face recognition doesn’t work properly - i have to sign in three different times for each order - another annoyance when trying to get ready quickly each morning.
