Disappointing
This is an app full of glitches but is unfortunately the only one of its type used by our county jail. It’s a shame because they have entirely eliminated face to face visits in favor of this app. I understand why, but it would be nice to have a replacement method that works. And doesn’t cost and arm and a leg to use. Lots of families who use this don’t have much income coming in , but it is soooo expensive. I think we have spent over two hundred dollars a month—for something that works so poorly. The same thing happens over and over. We can’t text the person nor receive their texts. That has happened multiple times despite following instructions to fix that bug. And many times, their call doesn’t not come through. Or the call comes in but one or the other of us can’t hear each other. I appreciate being able to have any contact, but this is giving our whole family major anxiety in a situation in which we already have enough of that. We aren’t the ones who broke the law. Please don’t punish us by making this season of incarceration of a family member so much harder.Show lessMikialama

This app worked perfectly fine until I updated it a few days ago . Now I’m not even getting some of my calls at all, which makes my loved one think I’m ignoring them! My videos that I sent him are all coming up blank on his end and I paid for these videos! This stuff isn’t cheap and it’s basically highway robbery! Especially when it doesn’t even work right! I sent him 3-4 messages after that and they’re all blank messages now at least in my end . Please fix this issues! I spend every extra penny I have trying to make my babe smile , for some of us that’s all we have to get us thru! I tried reporting the issues and it tells me I have nothing to report on. Supposed to be an app to video visit with your incarcerated loved one. But just like everything else related to prison, it’s going to cost you an arm and a leg.
Each visit is $0.25 per minute whether the video/mic/speaker/connectivity works or not. So my loved one attempts a video call and within 5-10 seconds we can tell there is an issue so we hang up immediately. But I still get charged for a minute. And if my loved one KEEPS trying to video call because sometimes it takes a few tries before the system works properly, you done wasted $1 on attempts.
Reporting the “bugs” to the developers is a waste of time. I’ve reported in the midst of an attempt, immediately after a failed attempt and emailed them to complain of several failed attempts and I never heard back not even a week later.
The main problem is a delay; sometimes up to 20 seconds or so between the 2 parties. My loved one will talk and it’ll take forever before it reaches my end and vice versa. Making a real conversation in real time impossible. Other issues include sound cutting out on the prisoner’s side to where they can’t hear anything you say.
The video quality is “ok”, nice to be able to see my loved ones face. But the whole experience is infuriating, making these visits more of a pain than a blessing.Show lessRoseanne is my nickname
