Totally useless!

I used purevpn for years with no issues. Last year (circa Sept 2019) I wasn’t able to login regardless of what I have tried. I thought my subscription must’ve expired so I paid for another 3 years. I was able to login... yet a few days later when I logged into my account I realized that I had two active accounts!! The first one did not expire and now the second one was added. I didn’t bother following up, but now the app is totally useless!! I cannot connect to any country, and when and if I use the quick connect, it -once in a while- connects but then I cannot bring up ANY site! I emailed support and they recommended a few things but nothing worked. I simply gave up and downloaded a free vpn app which I am now using successfully (although I have to endure the ads!) This should be a case study on how to destroy a great product by upgrades..

6 months on and still unable to login

Downloaded PureVPN 6 months ago and purchased a year’s plan.
The service worked for around 8 weeks then suddenly I wasn’t able to login via the app. I was getting an error message saying that my login details or password was wrong and customer support told me the same.
Unfortunately it wasn’t as simple as that. My login details were, and have always been, entered correctly because I can easily login to my account via a browser.
Customer service stopped replying to my help requests. They won’t issue me a refund and as of today, are still ignoring me. I have a pending support ticket which has been open for weeks now and so I have had to just take a loss on this and purchase a different VPN from a higher rated company.

Worst Service and Worst App

Did not connect to VPN easily. Need to uninstall/Install the App again in order to make it work.

Extremely slow speed when selecting Indian Server.

Would not recommend anyone.

Waste of my money

Never works properly. Programmes hang for longer than they run. You get prompt advice but it’s so complicated and for each site the instructions vary.. won’t even be trying to use it again. Very disappointed.

It’s good when it works but recently it Keeps defaulting to the wrong country no matter which location I choose. It’s getting annoying.

Doesn’t work

If you’re living outside of China and want to use the China servers, stay away from this VPN company. IT DOES NOT WORK. They advertise to use their China servers to access certain contents only allowed in China but none of their servers work. I contacted 24/7 support but each time I only get a same exact pre-typed response “they’re having issues and are currently working to resolve the issue” for over 2 weeks and when I asked for my money back, they kept asking to wait until they resolve the issue. This company is still trying to sell their service at a huge discount when they know it’s not working. They even changed one of the China mainland servers to Hong Kong as a gimmick but that doesn’t work, stop tying to fool the users. DO NOT GET THIS VPN if you’re trying to get into China servers. FRAUD

Don’t touch it with a barge pole

I wanted to try this VPN using the seven day trial, and I cancelled it after six days. Cancelled it seemed hugely more complex than necessary and I sent numerous messages and chats in their internal message system. Even then the first month was charged to my credit card. When I queried that, I was told the account was still live. I am still in the process of trying to extricate myself now. I would strongly recommend not giving them your data (especially your credit card!).

Does not work with Netflix

Does not work with Netflix. Worked with their technical people for 2 hours. It will connect but Netflix recognizes the VPN and you will get an error message. Not worth the time or money.

Great App

So I tried the seven day trial to see if this app really worked. After connecting, I was still having trouble with the foreign app I was trying to use. I joined the live chat that’s available 24/7 and within minutes my problem was resolved.

For someone that knows nothing about VPN and a first time user, the app was very easy to use and well worth it.

Horrible

This VPN sucks I literally paid for a subscription and each time I try to connect it freezes. Do not buy this.
